Would you go to DW without your husband?

So I have been going to DW with my mom, sister and niece pretty much every year since I was born. Most of the time it has just been the four of us (three of us before my niece was born). It has always been our thing and I have a lot of very special childhood memories there. Anyways we took my son last year for his first time (he was 2 1/2) and my husband came along with us.  We had a lot of fun but honestly it is just not my husband's thing. He had fun seeing us have so much fun but he hates crowds and he got frustrated a lot by having a big group and having to wait on everyone.

So we have been planning to go for my nieces graduation this year for a while now but for whatever reason I thought she was graduating next year instead of this year. This will probably be our last trip all together as she is going off to college and my mom is getting older. My brother (niece's dad) and his wife are even coming which will make it even more special. My husband isn't getting as big as a bonus as he thought and with the trip being sooner than expected its going to be tight but it's a trip I would be so sad to miss. My husband says to go without him to save money. I know he really means it and wants me to go but I know when the time comes he is going to be sad he missed so many memories. We are planning to TTC #2 after the trip so we probably won't go for another 3-4 years.

Sorry this is so long but I am really on the fence about this and am wondering if any of you have went without your SO?

Heck yes! All the time! I'm an annual passholder though. Just this past weekend I had some friends fly in and we did a girls weekend at the food and wine festival. My dh doesn't love Disney like I do though. He doesn't like the crowds so he doesn't go nearly as much as I do.

Yep, go! If he's really okay with it and you'd regret not going, it's an easy choice to make.

Yep! But we are passholders and don't live far. DH gets jealous when we go without him though, haha. He loves it as much as myself and our girls =)

For us it's across country so it's expensive and will only be a trip we can make every few years. Our son is 3 1/2 and I just feel like it's such a special time to go with him since he believes in everything and is ridiculously excited about it. You guys are making me feel better about it though. He really seems ok with it but I just feel a little selfish even though he's not even super into it.

Same. My dd and I have passes and ds is too young for a pass so I take both kids by myself all the time. We try to go at least once a month. We do go with my dd's friend and his mom too. It's fun! Dh gets a day to relax!

My dh has PTSD. He went once a few years ago and that was it. He hates all the people. I LOVE having a day just me and the kids.

Yes, I would go.  It sounds like this is something you did even before you met him, it is you family tradition.  I can see where you would miss him and be concerned that he would feel left out.  But as you said this may be the last time you can go with your Mom and it is a special time for your neice.  Just think of the fun you will have when you, DH and 'your' family go.

Go.  Being married doesn't mean that you fused into one person and have to do every single thing together.  It's perfectly fine to continue traditions that you had before you married him.

Twice I've gone on girls' only trips to WDW. I would go.
