Found out late April we were expecting but numbers were low and we thought we would miscarry. The pain started on my left side and just this past Thursday I had to have surgery to remove the ectopic from my left tube. It was too big and they had to remove the entire left tube.
I am frustrated and confused as to why they did not see anything on the test last month?
My mother had 3 of us with one tube, so my spirit is bruised but not broken. Anyone else have a similar story????
My ep was in 2008 and my right tube had to be removed. I was told my right ovary was good and because I still had my left tube and ovary I should be able to get pregnant with no problems. In 2010 I found out that there was what waas thought to be a dermiod tumor growing inside my right ovary and surgey was recommended. Everything I have read on dermiods say that it does not hinder conception so we kept trying. I finally had the surgey to remove the dermoid February 24 of this year and my dr ended up taking the whole ovary out. While he was in there he found endometriosis (stage1) and he removed all of that as well. I was sad when I woke and learned that he had to take my ovary out and he did say my chances of getting a BFP were lower but not impossible. He wanted my dh and I to ttc for 6months on our own and if it didn't happen then we would explore other options. I heald well from my surgey, had my anual on April 20 and eveything came back good. Then, on May 2 got a BFP on 2 tests! One tube and one ovary missing and 3 yrs and 6 months after our ep we are expecting! My HCG levels are doubling good and wed I get an ultrsound. Nothing is impossible! Keep the faith and allow yourself and your hubby to heal physically and emotionally from what you have just gone through. You are not alone.
