anyone know where to get maternity clothes that dont look like something an old lady would wear?
Honestly, I get most of my dresses and tops at Torrid, the Hot Topic for plus size. Most of the stuff ends up fitting pretty well once you pin back a few inches. <3
honestly, i just sewed a bunch of big band t-shirts in fit my body...it's easy, just turn the shirt inside out, pin it to the size you want, then sew a straight stitch then a zigzag stitch...cut off the excess and flip it right side out...i'm not that good at sewing but i made it work
Try old navy online or target they have lots of good basic stuff that's generally not to expensive in case cost is an issue. They have lots of maternity jeans & plain colored tops & cute dresses. Actually I just looked at walmart.com & they had some cute stuff too. There was a nice striped hoodie pullover & a cute plaid button down.
to make your regular pants work longer, use a hair tie and loop it around the button, then through the button hole then back around the button. also, you can get the "tummy sleve" and it holds your normal pants up unzipped and unbuttoned..and you can use that the entire pregnancy. that takes care of the pants part. i dunno about shirts.
