Do you get visitors after your homebirth?
I never have. People visited when I had hospital births. Just wondering what others' experience was.
That sucks. I'm sorry to hear that. If you live within 30 miles of Brookville,OH I'll bring you a meal & would actually be interested in hearing your birth story since I love homebirth& I haven't met any homebirth mommas locally .I can't imagine that folks would feel more comfortable stopping by a hospital than someone's home. Maybe they're trying to give you space or something? Did you send out the mass email?
I was much more willing to have visitors sooner with my second daughter. With my first I had that neurotic first time mom germ thing going. With my second, neighbors and family came by the next day & I was fine with that.
My hubby had a pic of me and babe posted on Facebook just minutes after babe was born. :) This is our 8th baby and 3rd homebirth. I suppose some people might feel weird about visiting at home after a birth, I personally don't get it, but then I am comfortable with the idea of homebirth and lots of people aren't I guess.

I did get visitors but not nearly as many as my hospital births. mil, bil and sil came to visit. DH and I have a large family between the both of us so 3 people out of a ton more is nothing.
