29 weeks pregnant, and my husband and i have been planning on the arrival of our third child, our first girl, to be at home. it would be a vba2c.

we just found out that his boat deploys for a 6 week patrol a week before my due date. being left behind is not an option...so it's either have a planned section (which literally makes me ill to the stomach to think of) so he can be there, or hope for the best and continue on with the original birth plan, risking him not being there.

just needed some personal opinions on the matter...i keep tossing around the pros and cons in my head, shame this couldn't of just simply, worked out.

Castor oil worked wonders for me....I know most are against it but 6 hrs after I took it cntrx started...maybe give it a shot before opting for induction/section.

I would let things happen as they will, I know how hard it is for dh to miss a birth, but at the same time, I'd want baby to come on her own terms, rather than "kick her out" with an induction or cs. My dh missed our son's birth, but was here for dd's. Yes it's a big event, but not the only one in her life :) And who knows, baby may come in time to see him before he goes.

I have thought about this and personally my desire for a vaginal at birth is much stronger then any situation. I would rather have another my baby vaginally then have my hubby there. But I just can not imagine signing up to be on "that table" again.
