Guidelines (updated 3/12/09) 

**This group was set up to give us the opportunity to meet other mommies and enjoy local events and activities for our children to participate and meet.  This will still be the main focus of the group. 

** You can have anything you want in your personal signature.

**We will try to schedule 2 meets every month.  Right before the meet of the current month, I (or an admin) will make a sticky post for everyone to put in their choice for the next one.  After a week (give or take), I (or an admin) will take those suggestions and make a poll.  Make sure to vote, so I have your opinion.  Then after the results of the poll are done, we will then decide on the date and time.  I know some of the activities we have been doing have cost money.  Remember, during the winter it is tough to do things at parks, etc that will be free.  As the weather warms up, I do want us to do more things in parks, etc.  We can have picnics and such when the weather is better.  If someone wants to offer their home up for a get together, that is your choice, just be sure to post it.  If you are going to be somewhere (that is not the scheduled meet for the month) and want to invite people from the group to come, you may post it.   Example - I am going to be at Spring Park on Sunday afternoon, anyone wanna come join me? or if you want to invite ppl a party that will be fine.

**Keep in mind – we have many different types of mothers in here.  SAHM, Working moms, Moms with young children, moms with teenagers, moms with infants, moms and children with allergies, health, and other problems, moms on diets, teenage moms, 20 something moms (majority in the group now), 30 something moms, 40 something moms (I don’t think we have anyone in their 50’s in here yet) and moms with grown children.  We have moms that live all over the Shoals Area. So YOU may not be able to participate in some of the activities that we schedule.  I know I have not been able to attend some of the get-togethers for various reasons.  We will try to accommodate as best we can.  It will be a majority rule.  In the event of a tie, I (or someone I assign) will make the final decision.  I feel that is the only way to be fair.    

**If the above system does not work, I will change it.

**It is my goal for this group that we all feel free to discuss things.  I want everyone to feel comfortable.  I have made many friends thru this site and I hope to make more.  If you decide to leave the group, I would like to know why.  So if you don’t mind popping me a PM and let me know your reason, I would greatly appreciate it. If you have any questions, about these guidelines, please send me a PM.
