Hand of God

I just wrote this on my journal page, but I wanted to share it:

 I was just driving in my car, listening to the radio, thinking about the state of our finances, worrying about the future. It was almost dark. As a turned west, I noticed the sky was covered on both sides with dark black clouds which seemed almost to form two walls. There was a light coming through the middle which made the outlines of the clouds glow. As I looked closer I noticed that the clouds on both sides stretched out a little in the middle, forming bumps. The more I looked, the more they bumps looked like hands reaching out for each other. As I drove I watched the clouds move. Before I turned north, I saw those two hands clasp each other and become one, joining both clouds. It was like a person reaching out in despair, and God reaching out for them offering his love and help. It reminded me that God always reaches out for me when I need him, no matter how bleak things get. He doesn't always change things the way I plan, but he always opens new doors, and he gives me the courage to go through them. All he requires is that I grasp his hand back.

What a beautifully written journal.  God is good and He's good all the time.  In crisis and out of crisis.  I'm really not worried about the economy because He said He'd never leave or forsake us and He's no liar.  We should take great comfort in knowing that He is true to His word.  Man doesn't predict what God can do, He predicts what man can do.

What a lovely description of the clouds you saw.  Nature has its wonderous moments.  God is everywhere... always reaching out to us.

Isn't it amazing how God just shows up to reveal his glory to us.
