Hi ladies  I was wondering how long it took you to get pregnant and how did you get pregnant(natuaral, IVF, IUI, Clomid etc). Also if you don't mind what your weight was before you got pregnant? Oh and what issues have you had since becoming pregnant?

I will start we have been ttc 3 years this is our forth round of clomid and the final one. if this month doesn't work we will be doing IUI. My dh's sperm tested normal. I have hypothyroidism, PCOS and overweight. I am 5' 4"  and 225 lbs (i was 235) and I am working on losing more.   My cycles weren't starting on its own and that's why I am on clomid.  Please let me know how your journey has gone. Thanks Tiffany

I have been trying for 8 months and am finally 6 weeks pregnant. I did not take any drugs to get pregnant I started using ovulation tests and found out I wasnt ovulating when I was supposed to be. I had gotten pregnant October 2009 and ended in an eptopic pregnancy in december 2009 with an emergency surgery to remove my entire left fallopian tube. So I did not think it would be easy at all to get pregnant. With my daughter who is now 3 yrs old I was pregnant immediately. I have a friend who tried to to get pregnant for over 2 years doctors put her on clomid and medication that she had to inject and nothing happened but after stopping all treatment became pregnant immediately. Sometimes trying for so long makes trying a chore not fun. Add the fun back to it and I have faith that you will get pregnant. GOOD LUCK!!!

I hate to say it but I am definitely fertile myrtle over here. I didn't plan either of my pregnancies...the universe just deemed them appropriate. Im 27 and weighed 269 @ my first ob appt. in 2010. Im now over 27 weeks pregnant and weigh 291. My first pregnancy I was about 40 lbs lighter in 2006 and gained about that much in pregnancy. I weighed 263 the day I was induced. As a side note, besides morning sickness and reflux, my pregnancies were/are healthy and uncomplicated despite being told I am at very high risk for preclampysia and gestational diabetes because of my size. GL on TTC!

Baby #1- Took 9 cycles, weighed 294 the day I found out I was pregnant.

Tried EVERYTHING to get pregnant. Fertility monitors, special vitamins, special positions, OPKs, etc. FINALLY someone convienced me to get the book Taking Charge Of Your Fertility and learn to chart. I did and I got pregnant the very first cycle I charted.

Baby #2-Took 1 cycle, weighed 293 the day I found out I was pregnant.

Charted and took Fertility Blend (http://www.fertilityblend.com/) for LPD.

Baby #3- Took 1 cycle, weighed 305.

Charted

We TTC for 4.5 years. I took clomid 2 years ago for 4 cycles and quit and started taking glucophage. In July I decided to try clomid again and it worked the first cycle. I have PCOS and do not ovulate on my own. When I first took clomid 2 yrs ago I weighed 260 and this time I weighed 293. I am almost 25 weeks pregnant now and weigh 296.

This makes me feel so much better knowing of other plus sized women who are preg. With my first son I was right about 200 in 2005. Second preg honestly don't remember but was probably about 215, 220 at the start. This time I am almost 10 weeks along and weighed in last week at 265. I felt really embarressed at the appointment when the nurse (size negative 2 or so) asked my pre-preg weight which was about 260 this time. My husband didn't say anything about it, but he has always been about 10 lbs more than me when I was 220, he didn't realized I'd gained so much weight!

I'm hoping for a non-complicated pregnanct, but I'm having horrible nausea!

I got pregnant the first time 05- a suprise on birth control and the past 2 times we didn't do anything to prevent it, but we didn't do timing or anything, took about 3 months to get pregnant this time. I will have a c-section so I am a little concerned with healing this time with the extra weight.

I've only had one, and I was alot younger and thinner then (though still not thin).  I'm about 5'5'' and weighed about 185 when I got pregnant.  I was 21 and literally got pregnant immediately after we started trying.  I was absolutely shocked since I've never ever had regular cycles.

Good luck.  Don't forget, doctors don't always know everything.  My parents had me young, but then tried for years to conceive again.  Doctors decided my father was the problem and even tried some sort of procedure to "fix" him.  It didn't work.  My parent finally decided to adopt to expand our family, and chose two little special needs brothers from a TV segment (I know, weird!).  Guess what happened then....  I went from being an only child to having 3 little brothers in less than 7 months!

Oh, and 5 years later, my "infertile" father sired another surprise son, and after my sixth brother (3rd bio bro) came 4-years later, my mom ended up getting a tubal!

With my first I was 34 years old and about 230 lbs to start.  We got PG on my second cycle.  We didn't have any issues until my 40th week when I developed pre-eclampsia.

This PG I was 36 when I conceived and about 247 lbs.  We switched from the mini-pill to the rhythm method of BC and I was PG two months later. I am just about 27 weeks PG and no complications, hoping it stays that way!

My husband and I tried on and off for about 2 years (on and off because he was in the army and overseas sometimes) and then when he finally got out of the army we got pregnant with this baby 3 months later. I weighed 220 before pregnancy and I'm now 24 weeks pregnant and weigh 230.

My husband and I have been ttc for about 2 years we did it all natural know meds of any kind. I am now almost 32 weeks pregnant with # 2. When I got pregnant I was 225 and now at 32 weeks I am now 235 lbs. I haven't really gained too much. I haven't had any problems with being plus and pregnant.
