When did you hear your baby's heartbeat the first time? We did IUI so at my appt they will consider me 6 wks 4 days but according to my last period I will be 7 wks the day after my appt. They said it could be too early and we can't make the appt for the next week dh will be at jury duty and we both want him there for my first us. So I'm asking with being plus size (im a size 18/20) if we will be able to see anything and when you were able to see your baby and heartbeat? Thanks and have a great day!
usually at that early stage its an intravaginal ultrasound so it wouldn't matter of your size. But for an abdominal ultrasound I was able to see and hear a heartbeat at about 7 weeks. There really isnt much to see its a bean and the heartbeat looks like a very small flash of light.. I will say I am a size 22/24 and I have a home fetal doppler and was able to hear the babies heart rate at about 9 weeks. I am now 20 weeks preggo with a little boy.
