hello!! my name is nicole, and i started this group because i think plus size women who are preggers need a place to go where we cn be understood. meaning, its hard for a girl that wears a size 6 to understand my frustration over wearing a 22 at the BEGINNING of my pregnancy!! not that i have anything against skinny girls, i just dont think they understand or see things the way we do. so, a little about me....
i am 26, and am on my 4th pregnancy. i have a 6 year old son, a 4 year old daughter and a 9 month old angel in heaven. i am currently weighed in at 250. i was 249 at my first o/b appt. so, amazingly, i have only gained 1 pound!! which is okay to me since i gained 20 pounds in about 3 months due to the death of my daughter and i also quit smoking. so..things have been kinda hard for me lately.
i hope that we can all grow together in our pregnancies and become like family!! dont be afraid to discuss anything either, we're all the same!!

I wanted to thank you far starting this group I had been looking for a group like this for awhile. I am also in the March 08 babies group but when seeing pictures of there cute little preggo bellys makes me sad. I never looked preggo with my first so I am hoping that maybe this time around I will. So a little about me I started out at 243 and now am 234 so I am losing weight again (I lost 15 pounds with my son) and my due date is March 26. Anyways I just wanted to thank you for starting this group and having another people that understand about us and not someone that can't really understand what we are going through.

I have to echo the sentiments here...I am starting out overweight...and in a month I surprisingly only gained a pound. The doctor was proud of me... ;)
I am trying to watch what i eat. My sister keeps telling me that since this is my first pregnancy that I will easily gain 50-60 pounds!!! I went from 200 to 158, then back up to 171 before I found out i was pregnant...I am only 5 foot so that adds up really quickly. I dont' feel pregnant or have the cute little baby bump either...ok maybe i do, but it is well protected with a layer of fluff (see Gabriel Iglasias - comedian AKA Fluffy. He will make you laugh).

THANK YOU FOR THIS GROUP!!!! I don't feel so alone anymore. :)

I am new to the group. This group is such a great idea. My first pregnancy I was a size 16 and gained 55lbs! I got back down to an 18 after a month or so after her birth. Then when she was 5 months old she passed away. I fell into deep depression, gaining lots of weight, and now I am pregnant again ( a year and a half later). My pre-pregnancy weight was 289 and now weigh 291. I think it's good for being 14 weeks. I started this pregnancy wearing size 26 and I am finding it incredibly difficult to find clothes because 26 wwas the largest i could find in my area. any suggestions? I am struggleing. I've tried motherhood online but it only goes up to 3x and i need 5x. HELP!

If you have any suggestions, message me please! Thanks a ton

First, I want to say that I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my little girl in december. She was stillborn.
As for the clothes, I suggest looking on Ebay. I've gotten some really nice things on there for pretty cheap!! I hope you can find what you're looking for!! And congrats on the pregnancy!

Hello all, I'm Mary and I just signed up on this site a few minutes ago.  I have been on many pregnancy websites over the past few months and have never come across one that had a group geared towards "us".  I'd rather not reveal my weight (but I've got some pounds on you), I just turned 29, and this is my first pregnancy.  I'm at 22 1/2 weeks now and it's nice to know there is somewhere to go where there are others like me that can understand what it's like to be a big girl before the baby bump.

What a great idea you had!  This is wonderful!  Thanks so much for starting this group!  I feel alone being overweight and pregnant so thanks so much for this!!  I hope to get to know you all over the next few months!  If anyone has any ideas on where to get nice/cute plus sized maternity clothes - please let me know!!  Again, thanks a bunch!!!

Hi! I'm new. I wanted to thank you for making this group. I was praying there was one when I was looking for a Plus size pregnancy group.

My name is Rachel, I'm 25 and PG with baby #2. I have a DD named Kara who is 2 almost 3. I am a big woman and it is soo nice to be in a group with other women who wont make fun of the fact that I may weigh over 300lbs. (I don't know for sure how much I weigh at this moment) Also I feel more comfortable sharing my belly pics with women who understand.

I can't wait to get to know you all.

*HUGS*

Hey I'm Kat. I'm also new to the group. I'm 23 weeks so far and I'm due March 16 with a baby girl.  I'm glad to see a group like this especially since my best friend is also pregnant at a size 4 and her advice sucks lol. Nothing against her but since I already looked prego before I was prego, she has no idea how I feel, lol.

Thank you so much for making this group. I have always been a big girl. My weight before my 1 st pregnancy, 4 yrs ago was 215. I am 235 or so now. I got up to 270 and then decided I had to get smaller, my health was suffering. I lost 45 lbs.. gained about 10 or so back. I am now pregnant again and am hoping not to get too big, I need to get down to 180 after I am done. I will never be small, I just wnat to have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy life afterwards too.. :)
