We just moved to Redding Dec. 27th from Portland Or, what a change it's been!  I was working at a grocery store (Fred Meyer), now I'm not working at all I had my own car, now I have no car since my SO's truck broke on the way down here I am stuck in the house all day ugh!  I think if I could just get out and explore a little I would be a lot happier, my SO did find a bubble tea place though lol.

A little about me, I'm 44 as of Jan. 24th I have 6 kids total ages 24, 21, 20, 12, 12, and 4. My 24 year old is married and I have 2 grand dd's they are age 4 and 10 months old. They still live in Oregon, my 21 year old is also there the rest came along. My 20 year old son has plans to move to LA to live with his gf but we'll see...

Anyone else in Redding or close?

You're a few hours away, but it's nice to see another REAL Northern Californian in the group. lol

Thanks, congrats on the baby. When are you due? Are you in the Sac area? I can't wait to go there and look around it's been years and my son said it's pretty nice now.

No, Sac is several hours south of me. I am on the North Coast, in Humboldt County. 

And I am due at the end of April. So close, yet still so far. I can't wait! =)

Welcome! I moved here from Seattle (grew up in Portland/Vancouver area) to Fresno, so its been a big change for me too! I miss Fred Meyers!

 how funny i currently live in redding CA i moved over here all the way **(used to jus spend the winters here)** from Mckinleyville about 10 yrs ago. i like redding it has its good points but the summers i feel are horrible here. I love going back to the coast in the summer we try to make it back over to the coast for the Orick rodeo every year. But wow a cafemomer from Redding how suprised i am lol anyways if u ever wanna chat hit me up add me and then pm me

Glad to hear from someone from my neck of the woods. I grew up in Vancouver, WA lived in Portland for a few years before moving to San Francisco! Welcome!
