One of my friends said someone they know has a service dog for their son with severe autism. I have never heard of this before and would love any information on it....the pros and cons and how to get one. If you ladies could help me I would really appreciate it.
As for the lawyer- I hired one and am still waiting to hear what is going to happen. The finger pointing and lies are still going strong and at times, it is very depressing, but hopefully things will get better.
Hey :) It's hard to weigh the pros and cons, because out kids with ASD vary behaviorally so much. It's a case by case basis. But I do know where you can go!
They are called the Delta Society: http://www.deltasociety.org/
And it isn't just dogs... other animals are involved. I work for a non profit organization that gives small shetland ponies to special needs families and our caretakers often certify the ponies through Delta.
