I had the same problem with my daughter and the worker who denied her told me to appeal it because they are told to deny it. I did and at the meeting I had letters from doctors, health specialist, and family members that have witnessed her actions. My daughter was 3 at the time, non verbal, wandering prone, high tolerance for pain, never slept at night, was able to get out the house twice. We have observed her walk right up to people and hold their hands, no concern for who she was with or her surroundings. Scared the crap out of her dad and I. Also pictures help. We took pictures of injuries, things she would do in the house, outside of the house, things like climbing up on high objects. Pictures of the open driveway to a busy street. Community pool across the street. Best thing is get proof.

Your welcome, at that age your kiddo is going to need you more than ever to cope with everything going on around him. Who better to provide that care than one of the parents. Research CA laws on IHSS as well, it will help to prepare you for hearing. Here's a link to help: www.disabilityrightsca.org.
