I decided to try my hand at actually following a pattern and making a dress for Iz. My mind is TIRED! lol Its not done yet. I have to add the bows below the straps and the zipper, plus the back of the straps are just pinned cuz I need to fit it to her and shes in bed. I think I might add straps to the sides to tie in the back cuz I know its gonna be big cuz shes so petite, but we are almost there!

aww how was the dress making? I've been eyeing some twirl skirts but I have 2 boys so I can't justify making one to my husband lol.

Have you saw the cute little dresses that have sort of like large button holes and the shoulder straps go though and are knotted to hold the dress up? That way it can sort of grow with her for a bit, think of overalls lol I hope I make sense =)

It wasnt too bad after I read the pattern like 10x LOL! This was first at following a pattern. All in all it actually was fun!

I think the dress your talking about  is called a knot dress. I am wanting to make one but havent found a pattern for it yet. That might be my next project. But now that we are expecting a boy I need to sew up some stuff for baby boy!
