not sure what you meant by "smart"

she is very inexperienced, and i hated the fact that she "mocked" Hilary the way she did, and claimed to be the person to help uplift those who had been left stung by HC not getting the nom.

not to mention that she has not made smart choices recently .. and that is one thing i try and teach my kids alllllll day longgggggggggggg   ::: MAKE GOOD CHOICES!!!

im not sure what McCain thinks this would lead to.. there were so many other qualified persons within the party to choose from.

Would you please elaborate on what you mean by mocked Hillary? I did not get that impression and I heard her entire speech. Also elaborate on the "smart choices". What is it that she did that you feel was not smart. JUst out of curiosity...Not out of meanness......I won't touch the "inexperienced" part.

I will admit to not listening to any of Palin's speeches and I am a Democrat and wouldn't vote for McCain regardless of his running mate.

On the surface it looks like this -- "The spin on John McCain's choice of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate is that it reinforces his maverick credentials. I see it the opposite way: It undermines them. McCain looks like any other calculating politician, willing to do whatever it takes to win."

i felt she mocked her and the women popluation by claiming to be the one to break thru the glass ceiling, yet has no washington experience...  and hasnt made good choices as far as the allegations of her abuse of her SHORT termed power...

I thought McCain had MANY better more qualified people to choose from in his party, but he went off and picked a woman simply because of her gender  because it certainly isnt about experience, which was his biggest self coined assest against Obama.. EXPERIENCE...

if this man is willing to throw all that away on choosing someone based on gender to win over votes, then what else wil he do in office and charge of many more valuable resources?  the idea of that is frightening.

i feel that McCain thinks that by picking a woman, he will get all of the Hilary supporters. Wrong! they could not be more different. i think that whole campaign seems to be grasping at straws now. which is odd because a lot of the polls i have been seeing are showing a almost tie at this point.

When I said said "smart for a republican" I was talking about the author of the article.

my thought is that no one is going to need to campaign against palin. her lameness as a candidate speaks for itself on so many levels--really, she's not the "unify the women" candidate on any level. plus...she's never even left the country (visiting her AK guard trooops in germany and kuwait does not count!). she's right-wing religious. she's embroiled in a weird case of mis-using her power as gov (which she's only been for 2 years). i can't figure out why mccain would have picked her...weak weak weak choice on his part

Thanks for your comment. If I am to be the only conservative in this group..I shall not debate the issue. Like Kim said...policitians are just that way. They ALL are that way. Not one party is different and would have done anything different. If I could get away NOT voting...I would.
