I know it may be way to early for an accurate opinion, but it seems as though the Women have all seemed to be more read to hear each other's views. Because sometimes in the past you could hardly ever get the point of whoever was trying to talk.

I like how Whoopie is trying to wait and see what Palin has to say tonight before she comments about her. And today poor Joy couldnt get her point out in the first segment.

Personally, I am actually an independent and really would like to know the candidates on the issues thoroughly before I make up my mind for sure. But I can say if it begans to get really negative on the Republican side, it will really prove that its all the same. Last election, I had a migraine nearly the whole lead up to Novemeber.

Anyway, back to the show--I just wish Liz would stop being so defensive before she replies and actually try hearing what the others are saying. I know it can be hard since she seems to be outnumbered but if she actually just listens and thinks before she speaks she would be able to get her point across without seeming like she is just repeating rhetoric.

Palin seems like a strong woman that would be great for Washington but just not as a VP just yet. I cant wait to hear her speech tonight and hopefully she will change my mind because I would love for a woman to be the VP if she is ready and prepared to handle all that comes along with that.

I am sorry but Sherri seems to be clueless on most issues.

What do you guys think?

Why doesn't Elizabeth think before she talks? She sounds like an idiotmost of the time! Like today- she was trying to say that because Palin's husband is at home, they're family should be fine and Palin should be able to easily help run the country! But I'm sorry, that's upserd, every mother KNOWS that a mother and a father are completely DIFFERENT! And children, especially babies- NEED THEIR MOTHERS!! And now a pregnant teen (plus a Special needs infant son) whohas many pics of her drinking- I think this mother's job should be at home takig care of these children she's had, not the white house! Sorry- I'll get off my horse now!

Like Whoopi put earlier it's not the parents fault that their child /teenager gets  pregnant. We all have a choice in  life. I'll have to disagree with you completely.

Some woman are the ones who  end up being the bread winner whether they like it or not.

although E. does annoy me quite often, i think you hit it on the head as to why! :)

she doesnt wait to hear the complete statement, she is always rushing to "counter attack", and if she could just be open to the smaller innuendos- if thats what they are to her- such as when they say "at one time"  or " in certain instances".. she could really save herself from having to raise her voice and appear childish and whiny...

Sherri wasnt on the show today, she took her son to his first day of class... but yes, at times- her comments are silly and out of sync with the topic.

and to PP, although it is SURELY not the parents fault a child becomes pregnant and we do all certainly have free will.. one issue with it i have heard is that SP is incredibly right wing and strongly supports abstinence only as sex ed for america.. and in THAT she has failed and should probably admit as much.    I fully understand that her daughter made her own choice and Bristol is sooo very lucky to have her mom in her life who IS Gov. and now VP choice and can FULLY support her, but too many , wayyyyy too many young women in this country dont have that luxury and neither the means to be supported and a little sex ed and bc could have helped many young girls.  JMPO on that last part.

I think that the ladies will go back to talking over each other soon.  I don't like it eithier but this election is going to get heated.  I mean seriously, most of us don't know who Palin is and what she stands for and people have already begun to argue.  Wait until after we find out exactly where she stands and see what happens.

It kinda bothers me that people/media act as if they know Palin and what she stands for.  She has not been a hosehold name.  Not many people outside of Alaska knew she exisited until now.  Elisabeth is defending Palin,  I question, is it Palin that she is standing up for or her party? Seriously, what do we really know about her(Palins') political stands on the REAL issues?  Why is she (Elisabeth) so quick to stand up for her?

I agree, I like how Whoopie is waiting to find out more information about Palin before making a judgement on her.

As far as not knowing who SP is....I feel the same way about BO. I am not convinced of his experience level and hes running for P, not VP, so the experience argument does not hold water. I am normally a believer in the mom being at home. I don't think that anyone can take the place of the mom, but I have been on cafemom for a very long time and read countless arguments about how a mom can work outside the home, and they will defend their decisions to throw the kids in daycare ALL day long, but the minute a conservative republican woman does both, its suddenly NOT okay. Thats not right.

I don't think those people are saying that is not okay a conservative Republican woman is working outside the home.  It's just that some people (moreso on the conservative side) feel like a mom should be at home with their children and they voice that opinion(sometimes harshly).  I think specifically of Dr. Laura, who tend to scold her callers for choosing to work rather than stay at home.  So for many moms, who have been bashed for choosing to work, are shining a light at the irony of the situation.  To show those, who feel that woman should be at home, that it is not as bad as they think it is and to stop the judging.

Elizabeth needs to shut-up and listen to half, at least of what the hell she is commenting on. Most of the time she has no idea, just a problem shutting- up long enough to know what you r talking about....don't like her...................*peace* Boots
