Hello I see know one has been writing too much!! I have cantaloupe to pick don't have a clue of how to tell when ready. tried sound sounds like pick me pick me!! ha ha can anyone help??![]()

I picked my first cantaloupe of the season way too early. I kept the seeds in it for next year so it wasn't a complete loss. I left my next 2 on the vine until they literally fell off. They were so good! So I am not sure if I can help you but maybe wait as long as you can. I hope someone who knows can answer this for you!

Sorry for the delay in responding to you :)
Cantalope will get a slight sweet smell and a soft spot at the bottom.
I plant alaskan cantalope because it turns orange when it's ready to be picked, that helps a ton!
