I have never had flower end rot on my tomatoes before. What causes this and what can I do to fix it?? If anyone can help, thank you!

Don't over water them, and only water at the base of the plant, don't get the leaves wet. Um, that's all I do and I don't have a problem. If you see it, pop em off and chuck em in the trash.

It has been crazy hot and dry for the last month. I definitely only water the base of my plants and water probably every other day with the dryness we've had. I've grown tomatoes for years and this is the first time I've had this happen! I would say the only difference is that I put the plants closer together this year, 2 cherry tomato (no problems with there) and 2 early girl (both plants effected)
