This is such a great group!  I'm so glad I've found it!

I've been married for 7 years together for 8 1/2.  Right NOW, today, my husband is almost the man I married.  He has been taking the kids out fishing, cooking, taking care of himself (physically), and is in a pretty OK place.

Earlier this year, he lied and lied and lied about EVERYTHING.  He blew $700 in one month on fast food!  He stopped caring if his clothes had holes in them, his breath was bad (dental probs that he wouldn't take care of), he refused to continue his college classes, etc.  I could go on all night.  He also obssesses with angels/demons, 'shadow people' (?), and politics.  We have the news or talk radio 24/7 in our house and in his cars!  Fuels his paranoia.

He has PTSD and traumatic brain injury  from Iraq.  The dr that was treating him for those issues suggested bipolar disorder.  Our marriage counselor years ago did too.  He REFUSES to consider the possibility.  I'm sure of it.  Our relationship has been a rollercoaster and everytime I think we have hit rock bottom and I have got to get me and our kids out, he turns around and comes back up and I stay.

HOW DO I CONVINCE HIM? WITHOUT STOPPING THE GOOD PHASE HE IS IN NOW?

I think he will be more coorporative now bc he's not depressed but I don't want to push him down?  I've thought of talking to his parents but I don't know if they will take me seriously.

ADVICE PLEASE????

Also, his VA dr gave him an antidepressant which he won't take.  Its a long term med that must build up in his system but he insists it works immediately and he only needs to take it when he's feeling bad.

Geez! I'm in school for nursing, trust me!!!
