Summer off meds?

My 5 dd wanted ff her meds for the summer. We decide she needs to take them. was I right?

Yes! Neither you nor she should decide to take her off of them without discussing it with her doctor...How old is your dd? I know the doctors told us that while their children it can play an affect on the brain if the medication isn't taken properly... So yes mama you made an excellent choice I know it's hard to have to see them take med. they don't lke; but at least it's helping to keep her healthy.

I read somewhere that when the child is 3 years of age they can be taken off the medication for 1 month to see if there is a chance they have outgrown the hypothyroidism..... I asked the endo about that a long time ago and he said there was no way my son would outgrow it because he has congenital not transient type..... I haven't asked again,... but he's 3 now!!! I'm sure the Dr. will tell me no. I'm also sure he knows better than I do. He's been doing it for like 100 years! LOL
