Read this question on a NFL Moms group here, thought it was cool and wanted to ask if of our gang...  so how/when did you become a fan?  Here is my story I posted at that group and here:

Well... I am a Denver Bronco fan true Blue & Orange.  My first "crush" on the team began with my younger brother 20+ years ago... he got into them as a young kid, and basically I followed.  Since that day I never looked back - its a family tradition, a right of passage, a way of life.  You think Orange & Blue, You breath Orange & Blue... You bleed Orange & Blue.

I've always loved the underdog, the team that no one gives a shit about, the team that plays hard, plays true, plays with their hearts, the team that gets that job done no matter what and does NOT play for the paycheck or the damn spotlight on the next NFL Network interview.

I watch football for the game, the players, the stories and for that perfect moment in time when your team hits the fields on a 3rd and long with 6 seconds on the clock starting at the 20 yard line looking at the opposing teams end zone... with no time outs.  Its do... or die.  Get it done, or go home.

Snap the damn ball and throw like hell to your best WR, or QB sneak it and get the job done yourself.  Whatever it takes.

Football to me isn't just any given Sunday.  Its any given Sunday, Monday, Thursday and sometimes Saturday.

Go NFL - Go AFC - and of course LETS GO BRONCOS!

I was raised in Colorado from age 3 until we moved to Minnesota when I was 14.  My parents were/ are die hard Denver fans.  My dad worked for Pepsi Cola Bottling Company (before they sold out to the parent company).  He always got company tickets to games.  We also hosted numerous football Sunday parties at our house.  Those football parties are some of my best memories of childhood.  I had THE BIGGEST crush on Rich Karlis (the barefoot kicker).  I even wrote him a fan letter or 2 when I was 10 or 11.  I remember my mom taking me to a Gart Brothers Sporting goods store in the Westminster mall where John Elway was there to sign autographs.  this was when I was in 7th grade (1987) before he was such an icon.  Do you all remember the 3 amigo's????  Ahhh the memories!

Born and raised fan!  I still have a crush on John Elway...
Such a fan that my fiance (a Texas native) proposed to me on Invesco Field before he deployed to Iraq.
