 Just thought I'd share

I just wanted to tell you all that Karl Mecklenburg was at our church on Sunday speaking and he really was great.  Actually this is why I missed almost the entire game.  If any of you have a chance to hear him speak you should.  Although he is a christian and that is why he was speaking, most of his stories were about the Broncos and most of them were really funny.  He is a nice guy gave all the kids autographs and was very personable.

He also mentioned that he has a book coming out in Jan. for families that have kids that play football, I'm thinking it will talk about things like being a good sport, keeping your cool and dealing w/ the hectic life that sports create.

Awww! I remember him! #77 right??  I would have loved to hear him speak!  Is he a member of your church or was he there as a guest speaker?

Yes he was #77, played for the Broncos his entire career went to 3 supperbowls w/ them.  Retired in 94'.  He is not a member of my church he is friends with a guy who is.  He is now a motivational speaker and works w/ a lot of Christian organizations and childrens charities.  He is a true family man.  He still lives in Denver and speaks around the state frequently.

We love the Broncos and I love it even more when the players are actually good role models for our children.  I'm so sick of hearing about, drug charges and DUI's, I wish more of todays NFL players were like Karl, they play for the love of the game!

I met him many years ago several times and he was a very great guy, and unlike some players that it depends on when you see them depends on if their are nice or not he was always nice.
