DENVER (AP)—The Denver Broncos began retooling their team with a couple of free agent running backs Friday.
The Broncos signed Correll Buckhalter to a four-year deal and were putting the finishes touches on a four-year contract for J.J. Arrington, said J.R. Rickert, the agent for both players.
The Denver Post reported that the Broncos also signed free agent safety Renaldo Hill from Miami and New England receiver Jabar Gaffney. Both are represented by agent Drew Rosenhaus, who didn’t return phone calls or e-mails from The Associated Press. The Broncos also declined to confirm any other signings Friday.
The Broncos, under new leadership in coach Josh McDaniels and general manager Brian Xanders, cleared $37 million in cap space heading into free agency.

****On a positive note-We signed Brian Dawkins from Philly-a saftey, and 7 yr. pro bowler. I'm pretty excited about him!
I am excited about some of the trades especially the Philly guy. I am also thrilled to see dre' bly gone. He is bugging me for being someone that was compared to Champ and didn't come close to being as good as Champ. As for the Jay trade I am seriously SERIOUSLY disappointed in Mc Daniels about that and the way he is handling it now say Jay was never on the chopping block and they were just "LISTENING" to a trade. If you are not going to trade you top guy WHY LISTEN TO A TRADE???!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't blame Jay for being upset with the Denver Head guys for even considering trading him. He still feels like his job is up for trade and whatnot. That's a real good way to boost your star quarterback and get him ready for some big changes coming. yea Jay will certainly grow from this, feeling that at any moment his job is in jeopardy. I really hope McDaniels knows what he did was wrong and fixes it SOON. Jay has sooooooooooooooo much potential and has show soooooooooooo much over the last few years. I have high hopes for that Kid. and i will be sitting here watching more trades and drafts coming and going and hope our starting QB isn't involved in there.
