Hello my name is Shannon and I am married with 5 children. I work full time and go to school ful time. My children are all involved in various activities from sports to school, from music lessons to playing at a friends house. I am extremely busy and I just want to start having some good quality me time. I feel that there are many other mom out there that could use some me time too, so come on and introduce yourself. Feel free to create your own post, brag or vent or just share some good information with the rest of us.

Hi I'm Megan and I'm married with two kiddos, and although I'm not nearly as busy as Shannon is I do get overwhelmed sometimes. I was working 2 jobs, and going to school a couple weeks ago in addition to taking care of my kids. I have since quit one of my jobs and school because I decided that my kids well being was much more important than all that nonsense. I am now loving life and hoping to find more time and things for me and my family to do to relax and have fun. My goal is that we do one really really fun thing as a family together every week, but who knows if that will happen since mine and hubbies job schedules often conflict. Thanks for the group, and I can't wait to meet some mommies with great ideas about how to take a break from this busy schedule we call life.

My name is Leslie.  I am a Mom of two, ages 15 and 8.  I am currently a stay at home mom (Domestic Engineer).  My children are very active and involved in sports, clubs and school.

My daughter plays Varsity Tennis, JV Basketball and Varsity Softball.  She carries a 4.0 and also plays on a 18u Gold Travel Softball team.  I am greatfull that her school sports do not overlap (LOL).

My son plays Pop Warner Football and Little League Baseball.   Currently tried to play travel ball baseball, but with the heavy football schedule and school we will put that in the backburner until he is a little older.

The most time consumtion is driving and picking up my kids from school , practices and games etc.

How much does everyone spend a week on grocieries?
I spend $100.00-$150.00 a week and still run mid week to pick up misc items?

Groceries are very expensive. I spent abotu $200 per week and it is still like old Mother Hubbards Cubbards by the end of the week.

Hi, I'm Gigi. I have three boys none of them are athletically inclined. I'm a stay at home mom only because I can' t fit a job in. I have to take my  youngest to tutoring. He's already spent two years in first grade and so far second grade isn't looking so promising. My 16 year old is not interested in getting a license so I have to take everywhere is needs to go he has a part time job,and does other stuff that teen boys do.  My 14 year old tutors a neighbor sometimes he walks home but he has a 25 pound backpack (not joking) he has to tote around and since it's half a mile, I cart his little body around also. So I do stay busy with the boys other things as well.  Any way I need a break!!

I spend anywhere from a 100 -150.00 a week. That's when school is in. During summer break I thought we were going to go bankrupt. My dh had to take on an extra job part-time for groceries.  I think we hit around 300.00 for groceries during the summer. I have three boys that eat non-stop. I make three gallons of tea a day. I don't make Kool-aid because it takes to much sugar. 2 liters sodas don't make it through 3 hours.  It would be less expensive it they would eat like stews or one pot casseroles but they are picky eaters and that is where the problems come in. But they do like spagetti and chile so that helps some.  My 14 y/o eats a whole family size can of chef boyardee ravioli, 40 oz. He's 5'9 and 122 pounds. Why couldn't I be so lucky? My 16 y/o will eat three homemade hamburgers. He's 5'11 and 180. My eight y/o is the only one who eats normal but he has a sweet tooth and has to have cereal the minute he gets home from school. Oh No! Don't get me started on milk. I don't think I'm alone on this one though.

I'm Nicole. I'm the mom to a 4 year old son. I'm currently attending Purdue for my nursing degree. I do not have a job right now... ok well I kinda do. Long story. But anyways, I'm trying to go to school full time so I can be at home with my son too... So hopefully I'll be a SAHM.
