Hi everyone, I just joined the group and wanted to introduce myself. My family will be moving to Chicago in August but will only be there until December. I don't know anything about it and I'm very nervous. My husband is finishing up his last 4 months of medical school so we will only be there a short time. I am currently looking for a place to live and good schools for my daughters. He will be working at Jackson Park Hospital so if any of you can give me any info on good areas close to there I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks and it's nice to meet everyone :)

The hospital your husband will be at is on the far southside of Chicago. Go to Realtor.com,for an overview of the area the address of the hospital is 7531 South Stoney Island Ave. Chicago,IL 60649. Housing in the Chicago area depends on location, that far south of the downtown area shouldn't be to bad, short term rentals are hard to find though. However since your husband is going to be at a teaching hospital you should be able to find a month to month rental.
