Zion's Party

Zion's party is about 2 months away, and we are sticking to the pirate theme, I found Jake & the neverland pirate tableware online at BirthdayDirect.com. I am getting solid color tableware, streamer, balloons, curling ribbon & a helium tank from from Party City, and we have the room booked. Not sure how big the room is (it's a party room in my cousin apt buliding), but I've heard it's a nice size. My cousin is going to decorate, I know where I am going to get the cake from, all I really need to do is order it. I ordered candles to match the theme from Etsy, so what I really need is help with games, and food. for games, all I have for now is Pin the treasure on the map, and the treasure hunt. I also wanna set up a arts & crafts table for the kids, any ideas as to things they can do?

YOu could let them make little treasure chests. get some little boxes even from around the house if you have to and cover completely in contact or construction paper and then have different decorations ready for the kids to choose from to decorate their treasure boxes

I'd make or buy eye patches for all the kids to wear at party

Materials:

  • Paper tube (paper towel or gift wrap)
  • Construction paper
  • scotch tape
  • OPTIONAL: plastic wrap
  • OPTIONAL: stickers for decorating

Instructions:

  • OPTIONAL: Take a small square of plastic wrap and cover one end of the paper tube. Secure the plastic wrap with tape. This is the glass lens for your spyglass Don't worry if it is not neat because you will be covering the edges of the plastic wrap in the next step.
  • Cover the outside of your paper tube with construction paper. (You choose the colors) Add a narrow strip of yellow around the end that has the glass (plastic wrap).
  • OPTIONAL: You may like to decorate your spyglass with stickers

You could do a treasure hunt and draw a map to the treasure.

You could also have them paint treasure chests or make pirate hats.
