Crock pots! You can even find the 3 one on sale for about 30 bucks at walmart! It will save you so much time to just have stuff on hand! Turkey and ham can be served cut up from them or just do appetizers and finger foods! And paper plates are a god send

right before the party take a large ot place water ,cimmanon sticks, some vanilla beans , and other nice snelling spice and boil it for a while. It will make the house snell wonderful. Take Christmas tin foil and wrap around your  cassroles to give a holiday feeling.  It a sat down dinner type then you can get some plain red,or othet Christmas balls and then take a sliver pen and write the name of your guest and use for placements

If you have the money, give each guest or family an ornament.

I personally believe that it would be lovely to take the time to go over a little reflexion. When the year is closely coming to an end people are usually more thoughtful and eager to start off the right way!

Buy some yummy candies (is very important you have variety, maybe season goods! those that are not easily found the rest of the year) and place them on a table. At a certain point of the night ask your guests to gather around the table and to choose the candy they like the most but tell them not to unwrap it. Once everyone has made their choice ask them to give it to the person at their side (right or left). It will be probably shocking at first cause no-one expected you would ask them to give up their yummy-yummy candy jejeje :-) Well, now take some little time to share something over the topic of giving or being generous or the like...and enjoy the time together!!!
