Goody/Favor bags

At what age do you stop giving kids a goody bag. I was thinking under 10 you get one, over 10 you  do not. Does that sound okay? At the time of my sons birthday party 3 of my nieces will be over 10. (15, 13 and 12 to be exact) What are your opinions?

I ALWAYS GIVE OUT GOODIE BAGS - KINDA AS A THANK YOU FOR THE GIFT. IF THE STUFF YOU ARE GETTING IS TOO YOUNG MAYBE GIVE THEM A BIG CANDY BAR - OR A BAG OF CANDY FROM THE $1 STORE.

As of last year I still gave everyone a goody bag. I like the idea that you had! Thanks for suggesting it!!

I always give out goody bags to whoever comes to the party whatever their age.  They don't have to take it, but they always do.  :)  I think sometimes the older kids are more excited about the candy and eraser type toys then the younger kids.    lol

For older kids parties ... around 11 - 12 we stopped giving out goody bags to the guests.  We just do a craft or made tye dye or iron on letter t-shirts and decorate pillowcases.

Maybe you could hire them as party helpers - tell them before hand that you'll give them a few dollars each to come up with some fun games and keep the kids entertained for an hour.  I know my oldest daughter loved being the game coordinator - and the kids loved it too.

Lol, I give out goody bags to the kids under 18. One year my niece turned 14, so I didn't get her a goody bag, and her feelings were hurt. IDK, I think they still like getting goody bags, as long as it doesn't have baby toys in it. Everyone loves candy lol.

I say, once your kid is too old for goody bags, stop. But if you are giving a goody bag to even one kid, its rude not to give to other kids. JMO

My cousins (24 & 26) were stoked that there were extra goody bags at one of my kids party, and had a blast with the plastic whistles, glo bracelets and candy! hehe
