Hey y'all!!

I'm looking for an icing/ frosting recipe that frosts well and doesn't need to be refrigerated.

Who's got one?

THANKS!!

I just go for the basic recipe.  powdered sugar, a little milk, and flavoring.  or go to betty crocker.com, they have all kinds of recipes. with the basic recipe, you can add things if you want, just be creative! :)

This is from wilton and it's the best tasting recipie. It's a crusting buttercream and gets a nice crust onthe outside while the inside in moist and flavorful.
For best results, keep icing bowl in the firdge when not in use. It can be refigerated in an airtight container for up to two weeks. Rewhip before using.

1/2 cup solid vegetable shortening
1/2 cup butter
1 Teaspoon Vanilla extract
4 Cups (1lb.) sifted confectioners sugar
2 Tablespoon milk

Cream butter and shortening with mixer. Add vanilla. Gradually and sugar, one cup at a time beating well on medium speed. Scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl often. When all the sugar has been mixed in, icing will appear dry. Add milk and beat at medium speed until light and fluffy. To thin for icing cake, add small amount of light corn syrup.
Yeild 3 cups

I use this for all my birthday cakes and cut out sugar cookies! It's great!
