Play eerie music at the entrance of your front door to greet guests.  Let your child help make a hunted house out of one room in your house.  Use the large 50 or 60 gallon black trash bags.  Cut them open and hang them using string or yarn.  Hang them at a height higher than the children's heads.  If they do not touch the floor, it is okay.  Make a grid with many turns and have your child put scary things in each section.  Hang a spider and bat at a level the children will walk into.  Replace the light in the room with a black light.  Let your child be the tour guide with a dim flash light.  You may need to put the trash bags on your window to block out the light.  We used the 3m hooks that peel off the wall to anchor the string and we just draped the trash bags over the sting.  Tell the children when they go in they should not touch the walls.

To get the children to play out side rent a moonwalk.  Check with your local rental company to see if they have Halloween themed inflatables.

It sounds like your going to have a great bash.  Good luck and have fun!
