  • Why did you join RD? What is your least favorite vegetable? What kind of music do you listen to? If you could travel outside of the country you are currently in, where would you go?

Why did you join RD? Trying to figure out what God meant to me, plus, I LOVE debating! lol!

What is your least favorite vegetable? Ok, so growing up, I had a weird thing about foods...textures and colors really bothered me.  SOOO, for example, a really ripe, red tomato hits both those things (squishy AND red)...yuck! But, I will eat green tomatoes.  I'll eat green and yellow peppers but not red or orange. I've gotten a lot better about it, but I still will feel that "I'm going to throw up" urge eating some of them!  Pretty much anything green is good to go though. I love spinach, asparagus, artichokes, brussel sprouts, cabbage... you name it.

What kind of music do you listen to?  Just about everything! I grew up near Detroit, so I love hip-hop and rap...but I married a Texan and now have a soft spot in my heart of country...our song is actually a country song.  I also LOVE classical music actually and lately, that's what I've been listening to the most (it also prevents the boys from hearing words I don't want them to!)

If you could travel outside of the country you are currently in, where would you go? ANYWHERE! Seriously, I've been begging my hubby to request OCONUS (outside the US) for our next duty station.  I lived in Spain and I would LOVE to return there...but anywhere in Europe would be great! I also would love to go to Argentina or New Zealand...we'll see!

Where are you from? I was born in NY, grew up in MI, and currently live in CA.  I have also lived in GA, TX, and Spain (the hubby is military)

Do you work or stay home?  I have done both, but I am currently working.  With the economy, we felt it imperative to have a very secure savings account, so that's what we are working on at the moment!

  • How were you raised? Were your parents religious? Did you go to Sunday School?

I was raised LDS.  When I was little my parents were fairly religious.  We went to church every Sunday and I was baptized at 8 etc.  When I hit high school, both my parents left the church, each for different reasons.  My mom is currently Atheist/Agnostic (right in between the two I would say) and my Dad is sort of a Buddhist Christian...I'd say he's more spirtual then anything.

  • What topic do you have the most difficulty discussing in RD?

Whats your favorite topic to discuss in RD?

Why are you the religion you are now? What led you to your faith?

What topic do you have the most difficulty discussing in RD? Hmmm...I think controversial topics like gay marriage or abortion are fun, but also difficult.  It can lead to anger and hurt feelings sometimes.

Whats your favorite topic to discuss in RD?  See above.

Why are you the religion you are now? What led you to your faith?  Hmmm...sort of difficult to pinpoint it down.  I definately believe in a creator and I enjoy going to a non-denominational Christian Church...but I don't BELIEVE in Christianity like most.  I'd probably fall most in line with a Deist, I believe.

I was wondering why you hate Mormons so much....

I don't hate Mormons and still have many friends who are Mormon.  I am sorry if I've ever come off as hating Mormon's as I always try to be respectful.  Just because I left the Church does not mean that I hate it...I simply don't believe.
