This is the perfect place for moms to ask questions...and have them answered by moms who know their stuff. Consider this a place of neutral territory. Trying to bridge the religious gap will help us be more tolerant, which is very important in today's world.

Guidelines for Religious Debate
1])Be nice….Golden Rule, Wiccan Rede, Laws of Karma, whatever you want to call it, please be respectful and kind in your posts and replies. Remember, no one knows if they are truly right about their beliefs until the end, so no “I am right you are wrong” posts or replies, no name calling and no bashing of any kind
2) If you are a former member of a faith and feel you have an answer for someone asking about that faith, feel free to answer, as long as you identify yourself as a FORMER member, and don’t include any type of bashing of the religion in your answer
3)No belittling of any religion , question or member. Any post or reply that has a blatant belittling, like “your stupid” or the like will be deleted , and the poster will receive a warning via pm from a moderator Remember , we are here to learn
4) Posting a reply with a simple “Your wrong” will be deleted, if you feel they are wrong tell them WHY and WHERE you get your reasoning from.
5)Abuse reports are for abuse and rules breaking, if you feel someone is breaking the Café Mom TOS report them immediately, do not post about it in a thread, as this just causes more drama
6) Please remember we are all moms here, and that goes for Admn too…we cant sit online and babysit. If you see an abusive post, report it, we will take care of it
7)No foul language allowed
8)No political posts, this is not a political debate group
9)Please respect copyright laws. Please make sure you cite your source. Re-posting of complete articles from any source is not allowed due to copyright laws, and the fact we want YOUR opinion, not someone else's. When posting excerpts from an article written by someone else please remember to cite the author and where you got the article. THIS IS NOT JUST OUR RULE, THIS IS A CAFÉ MOM TERM OF SERVICE!!!
10)Please do not devote posts to passages from the Holy Book of your choice. Limit passages to back up what YOU think. If you do add a passage or two, cite your source
11) no Drive By Preaching…Any post with a simple phrase or sentence and a click-able link will be deleted. If you want to post a link, tell us what it is and why you are providing it
12) please share!! we are here to learn so if you have a holiday, celebration, ritual or other religious happening, let us know about it in an FYI post
13) ask questions,if you don't understand something how can you debate it?
14)Enjoy yourself! This is a place where you should be comfortable sharing, learning and debating, and if youhave any comments or suggestions, let us know, we are always open for improvement
Something new!!!! ND (not debate) and FYI posts are now allowed as long as the nature of the post is in the title. ND posts can be anything you would like to share. FYI posts are for sharing about your religion, traditions and holidays. THESE POSTS ARE PROTECTED FROM DEBATE! Questions may be asked but no debate. Feel free to open a new thread if you must debate an issue in an FYI post
Rule infractions will result in a warning being issued. Three warnings will most likely get you booted, depending on the situation. The point of RD is to learn, have fun and make friends. This is not the place to unload your hostilities against any or all religion. If you have any questions or issues, please shoot me, Sandy or Lily a message, we are here to help!
