Ok. I have jsut started a business, and know about what is needed to get word out. I would do flyers that have a little tear off sheet with the address. I like the idea of magnets, that would be really nice.
Also, getting business cards is a great help, you can put them anywhere. I think this is great fun, and I love spreading hte word about great things. I love cafe mom, and will be on here til I die, I think. Can't witl to start, I already advertise on myspace!! Charlotte

There are ALWAYS stay at home moms at the park. I know the weather is getting a tad cooler, but people are still taking their children, here at least. I would LOVE to have pails that have "cafemom" on them. Here, you can kinda just leave pails in the sandbox, and other kids will play with them. I could have pails, shovels, with cafemom written on them. I could also have bumper stickers, I would put one on my car!! There are also places around where I live called "my gym" I know a girl that works there and she said we could have cafemom bumper stickers I could leave on the desk, where the parents sign there children in. My 3 year ol goes to day care, I have been given the ok to leave cafemom bumper stickers at the desk there as well. Just a few ideas I have for now :-)

by Jessigrl26 on Sep. 19, 2007 at 5:30 PMI can definetely make flyers and pass them out and I can make some shirts...With the flyers I make I can take them to local toy stores or even the malls all have play areas and i can go in those and pass them out. I already wear a cafemom shirt that one of my groups made! I can also make ribbon roses and put a cafemom.com paper on them just to make them look pretty when i hand them out |

I like the bumper sticker idea. Also, the flyers are great!!!! I tell everyone I know about this site. I think we need more t-shirts or maybe a cute purse that said Cafemom on it. I would definitely carry that around...maybe a diaper bag too? Oh, window clings are awesome!!! What about kids clothes that say something like, "My mom is a Cafemom!" or something to that effect.

I was a recruiter for the last census. Contact papers for free ads. Chamber of Commerce. Make posters for stores. Have bumper stickers, buttons. bags. all with
Have flyers to hand to each and every mom, woman, grandma. I traveled all over 8 counties. Covered more than 400 miles a day. Go to little towns and I made lots of friends. You must get to more people than just in your "zone". Little shops, cafes, c-stores, groceries. In the surrounding towns. If you only have 10 that is a large area to cover. I just couldn't limit myself to stay just in my town. |

by MommyRandi on Sep. 19, 2007 at 5:36 PMWell my CafeMom Playgroup is crazy about Bunco and more and more people want to join our Moms Bunco nights every month. I would host a CafeMom Bunco Tournament & Party and give away CafeMom Gifts & Prizes, have fun playing Bunco, and meeting new moms :) It would be sooooooo much fun!! It would be a great way to introduce new moms to CafeMom. We've already gotten a ton of friends to sign up from our moms night out!

Hello!
I think it would be great to have a party called Moms Night Out. We will serve fun drinks and snacks while we discuss some of the common issues of being a mom, wife, and all around super woman! We will compare stories, pictures, memories, and so much more. Every mom needs a night out and I believe every mom needs cafemom! We will have a table for the crafty moms who have come to scrapbook.. A table for the writer moms who express themselves through the art of word... A table for moms who just want to shoot the breeze about being all that they are... Etc.. Throughout the night we will all mingle and switch tables to socialize. At the end, a gift bag will be handed out with cafemom stuff inside! Pens, letter openers, key-chains, etc etc! Every mom has a cafemom inside! Let's bring it out! (It will be the "Chuck-E-Cheese" for mommies!)

by carmenclrk on Sep. 19, 2007 at 5:40 PMI was thinkin bout an idea and came up wit this. I work wit a local drillteam in my area and I can get everyone together and have a "Cafemom Informational Party". I can buy/make Cafemom stuff like shirts, buttons, magnets and bumper stickers to hand out to everyone. I will try to do it at a big enough house to where we can get on the computer and I can show them the different things you can do on this site. If all goes the way I think it would go then they can all sign up at the party and get started. I can also post flyers around town wit the Cafemom website tearoff so they can know about it and sign up. I think this was a good idea! |

I didn't know this was going to be a cash opportunity- and I really want to keep getting the word out about cafe mom.... I am going to a national convention in November & am already designing business cards to hand out & leave with the other exhibit tables- I also hand out notes to people I meet (even at the restaurant this afternoon) inviting people to come and join cafemom & to stop by and see me.
I love the site & think it is a great opportunity for networking & information sharing & I hope to help it grow by leaps and bounds. I would be happy to post a few cool color ads in the local child / parent resource magazines for the Baltimore / Maryland area... and maybe even some of the bigger magazines? Thanks for your consideration. Carri Nease clnease@hotmail.com |
