Hello and welcome to Older First-Time Mamas. This is for moms who had their first child at age 35 or older, AKA 'advanced maternal age'. We are considered 'high-risk' and subject to more ultrasounds and tests, among other things.

Whether you work or stay-at-home, your child was a surprise, planned or you adopted, you have one child or more, you are welcome here! I just ask that there be no judging and no drama please. I want this to be a fun place to visit, but also a place where we can talk about things maturely and with respect for the topic and each other.

This group was established September 19, 2007. It is private for your safety and peace of mind.

Group Guidelines:

1. I ask that you treat everyone with respect; it is OK to disagree, but be nice about it. Don't type anything out that you wouldn't say to someone in person. If you are naturally a harsh, aggressive, opinionated person, well then maybe this isn't the group for you. We want to come here and relax...not be stressed out or aggravated by what we read. This is a drama-free zone.

2. Please don't post any objectionable or gross material without letting us know in the subject line...I am still thinking about that little boy with the fork in his nose and I wish I never saw the picture! (and if you haven't seen it, please consider yourself lucky!)

3. Please don't use full swear words in your subject line...or in your post if you can help it. I don't know about you but I don't want to read that, and you never know what little eyes are reading it, too.
