You might be a Laid Back Mama if...

... you called the pediatrician in hysterical laughter, not tears, when you found your 9 month old with a mouthful of your dog's "accident".
... you couldn't give a rip whether or not all the other babies in playgroup are crawling or talking yet, you are just happy to enjoy your baby as she is
... you do not consider yourself a nursie nazi but you do not faint at the sight of a boob either
... you practice only half of the AP principles
... you SAH or WOTH and don't care what anyone else does as long as it is right for their family
... you perhaps either bottle-feed :::gasp!::: or extended breastfeed :::scandalous!:::
... you HATE the mommy wars and superbaby syndrome
... you know what being on a budget means
... painting time at your house involves fingers at least as often as paintbrushes
... you are not planning a "super sweet sixteen" style party for your one year old
... your kids are often so covered in dirt from the sandbox that you can't tell them apart
... you are neither a "Republican, CIO, Spanking, Pro-Circ, Tired of the politicians tellin' us how to raise our kids!" kind of mama nor a "Child Lead Parenting, Breastfeeding, Co-sleeping, Baby Wearing, No CIO, No Spanking, Intactivist, Attachment Parenting" kind of mama.
... you know that while parenting is difficult, it isn't all that complicated. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that kids need food, love, and security!

This is a place to ask advice, get support, get good ideas/recipes/parenting tips/etc. It is NOT a place to try to push your values on everyone else, post "cutest baby" contests, or in any other way make other moms feel bad about the GREAT way that they are parenting their kids.

So come on and kick back with other moms who are laid-back and just like to take it one day at a time!
