My fiance is on his way home with a kitten from work today that he found in the country. He said it was wheezing and its face was all goopy.  I was lookig up alternative cures for this, because I won't be able to get to the vet until next week, and found one website/forum, where a lot of people mentioned adding apple cider vinegar to its water, or rubbing it with the vinegar so that when it cleans itself, it will ingest it.  Anyone else ever heard of this? Any other ideas? I also have another cat, and I know that URI's are contagious. I begged him not to bring the cat home..... but alas..... I am pregnant, and I htink his fathering side is coming out, and he can't leave it to die all alone....lol.

I would rub both cats down with the vinegar and add it to both their waters. It should help the kitten as long as it isn't too far gone. And, the vinegar in the other cat's water should protect it from catching the infection.
