...that are safe to give to a 10 month old.  I bought some Hylands ear drops but not sure how well they'll work so I'm looking for other ideas too.  No fever yet, but he has had cold like symptoms (runny nose and eyes) and has a red flaky ear he's been tugging at all day.

Kali Mur cell salts work wonders for ear aches and colds! They are safe to give to babies. My son once ate a bottle of 500 of them with no reaction. They dissolve in their mouths very easily.

You can buy them at most health food stores. I know that Whole Foods and Vitamin Shoppe carry them, we also have some small health food stores around us that carry them. If you can't find them in your town, you can order them online.

I use Mullein oil, which I make using Oilive oil. Ocassionally I use Calendula oil or I combine the 2.

DD just was singing the praises of the Calendula/Mullein oil that I gave her. She has had an earache for a few days, so she used a couple of drops last night and said it helped immediately!
