I dont know how well it would work for a tooth, but I gargle with sage tea when I have a sore throat or any other problems in my mouth. It tastes and smells bad (in my opinion) but works like a charm getting rid of the pain. I don't think it would hurt to try. I also take garlic (in capsul form) whenever I feel like I have an infection coming on.

1 mom liked this

I have used cloves (you can also use clove oil as well). I have sucked on the cloves after them being boiled slightly then crushed a little to release the oil. They dont taste too bad either. That and ibuprofen will help with the swelling as well as heat applied to the outside of the mouth.

clove oil in a cotton ball or gauze pad, put on the tooth. refresh as needed

I have heard of using cloves but what has helped me is peroxide, salt and warm water mixed together. Rinse your mouth, swish it around. Dont swallow, very nasty. Im sorry i never measured it out. But usually it was half water, half perioxe and teaspoon of salt. Definatly see you dr as soon as you can. Absesses are not good.

I had an absess while I was pregnant and ended up being hospitalized...twice. Because I was pregnant, I was unable to have the tooth taken care of. Fast forward a month after my birth and I relocated across the US.

I didn't have any health insurance and was experiencing a flare-up of the absess...pain included. I had these single serve packets of dried, ground greens. It had wheatgrass, lemongrass etc in it. I'm not sure what the exact name was...something along the lines of miracle greens...

so anyway, I drank the suppliment, and it immediately lessened the swellingand pain. After a couple of weeks of drinking daily, the absess was wiped it out.

Give this a try it will work!!

p.s. I filled an 8oz glass with water and added the drink mix. make sure the water is room temp for the first cup, because cold water makes it taste like you are drinking clippings from your lawn!!! There would still be residue in the cup after I finished the first glass. I would fill up the cup 2 more times to make sure I drank  al of the mix.

Good luck!

My son had an abscessed tooth. I took pure calcium bentonite clay and mixed with water and put it on with a paper towel. He keep it on for about 20 minutes and then I'd put oil of oregano on it. It took 2 days but the abscess broke and drained and he didn't even run a fever. If you can't stand the pain, put pure vanilla extract on a paper towel and hold it on the gum of the tooth. That will numb it out.

Alsso, I recommend omitting sugar from your diet- that can cause an infection to grow.
