Last Fridays lipid profile came back and of course, all the values are high and the one that should be, is low....I have been dx w/ hypercholestemia since a young adult and unfortunately for me, it runs in our family....right now Im going to begin Lipitor to get the values w/in somewhat of a normal range and am looking into some alternative options in the meanwhile....my tt cholesterol is 294 and my trig are 169, Hdl is 43 and the Ldl is 217......not good. I dont eat red meat, I only use olive oil, eat almonds, take a omega-5 every night....u couldnt get much more "low fat", as I eat...but then, when I was dx at 24, I was in the best shape of my life and an avid runner...the only difference between my score then was that my Adl was higher but then, like I said, I was a runner.....so, hopefully w/ working out everyday again and cutting down even more, (if that's possible), w/ fats/carbs, I'll have better values when re-checked in three months. Wish me luck!
