I just made some cupcakes today and they are delicious. I am thinking about making some for my babies first birthday for all of the little kids. Does anyone have any good decorating tips or just a yummy recipe for me?? I need a little help.

I am going to the Cake Mix Doctor book again because it is so yummy and there is a fun recipe in there for Birthday Cake Cones. This recipe makes 28 cones:
28 good quality flat bottom ice cream cones
1 package plain devil's food cake mix
1 1/3 cup water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 large eggs
1/2 tsp. pf ground cinnamon
1. Place rack in the center of the oven and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Wrap a small square of aluminum foil around the base of each of the ice cream cones and stand the cones in ungreased muffin pans. Set the pans aside.
2. Place the cake mix, water, oil, eggs, and cinnamon in a large mixing bowl. Blend with an electric mixer on a low speed for 1 minute. Stop the machine and scrape down sides of the bowl with a rubber spatula. Increase the mixer speed to medium and beat 2 minutes more., scraping sides if needed. The batter should look well blended. Spoon about 1/4 cup of batter into each cone, filling it no more than halfway. Place the pans in the oven.
3. Bake until cake springs back when lightly pressed- 20-25 minutes. Be careful not to overbake them. Remove from oven and place on racks to cool for 30 minutes.
4. Meanwhile prepare frosting (recipe to follow)
5. Remove the foil from the basr of each cone and frost the tops with frosting. Decorate with sugar sprinkles. Carefully place on platter and serve.
Fluffy Chocolate Frositng
8 TBSP butter at room temperature
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3 cups confectioners sugar sifted
1/3 cup milk
2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. salt
1. Place butter and cocoa powder in a large mixing bowl. Blend with an electric mixer on low speed until mixture is soft an wellcombined- 30 seconds. Stop the machine. Place confectioners sugar, 1/3 cup milk, vanilla, and salt in the bowl and beat with the mixer on low speed until light and fluffy. Add more milk if frosting is too thick and more sugar if too thin.
