Candy Disc


Candy Disc Supplies:
  • Laras Craft Wooden Ornament
  • Red Spool O’ Ribbon
  • White, red, pink, lt. blue acrylic paint
  • Black Micron pen
  • Clear Cellophane
  • White embroidery floss

Instructions:

  1. Paint entire ornament with white acrylic paint. Let dry. Paint 7 small red stripes onto the edge of the “candy” using red acrylic paint. Drybrush lt. blue acrylic paint along the edges in between the red stripes.
  2. Drybrush pink acrylic paint onto the candy for cheeks. Let dry. Use the Micron pen to outline the cheeks and draw on two eyes and a mouth.
  3. Wrap the disc in clear cellophane, tying the extra on either side with white embroidery floss. Thread the red ribbon through the hole of the ornament using a needle to poke through the cellophane.

Snowman In My Pocket


Snowman In My Pocket Supplies:
  • “Denim” printed paper
  • Darice Holiday Trimmings Lightbulb Garland
  • Red pom poms
  • White felt
  • Simply Stuffing
  • #5 Pearl Cotton in Gold
  • DMC chenille needle size 18
  • Green craft wire
  • 1/8 yd Xmas fabric
  • Darice “carrot” miniatures
  • Black Identipen
  • Fabri-Tac

Instructions:

  1. Use the patterns below to trace the snowman onto the white felt and denim pocket onto the patterned paper.
  2. Use a sewing machine to sew the snowman together, stuffing as you sew.
  3. Draw eyes, mouth and buttons onto snowman using Identipen. Glue the carrot onto face for his nose. Glue two red pom-poms on either side of his face for earmuffs. Twist and loop wire to form a decorative hanger and glue to the backside of the earmuffs. Tie the fabric around neck for a scarf and fringe the ends.
  4. Start to embroider the denim pocket along the edges. Glue the snowman into the pocket. Finish embroidering the sides.
  5. Glue the lightbulb garland from one hand to the other, letting it hang loosely.

Popcorn Filled Ornament


Popcorn Filled Ornament Supplies:
  • 1 Clear glass ball ornament
  • 15-25 Kernels of microwavable popcorn
  • 1 Paper bag
  • Glitter (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Remove the metal top.
  2. Place 15-25 kernels of microwavable popcorn in the ornament. (Wipe off some of the oily gunk first).
  3. Place the ornament in a paper bag and put in the microwave for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Listen carefully, you may not need to leave them in for a full two minutes. When the popcorn is done popping, remove the ornament carefully, it will be hot.
  5. Sprinkle some glitter in if you like. Tie a pretty ribbon on the top and hand from your tree.

Jolly Ol' St. Nick


Jolly Ol' St. Nick Supplies:
  • Wood shapes: two 4½” hearts, 1” furniture button, ¾” round pug
  • Acrylic paints: white, red,, dresden flesh, shimmering silver
  • Paintbrushes: Nos. 6 and 8 round bristle, No. 6 soft round
  • Permanent marking pens: medium-tip black, 0.55mm opaque silver
  • 20-guage silver wire, 22 inches
  • 1 bottle of Mars Elf Dust
  • 1 pkg. 7mm eyes
  • 1 pkg. 3/8” gold jingle bells
  • 1 pkg sm. leaf 5/8” sequins
  • 1 pkg 5mm red sequins for berries
  • 1 1/4” stencil brush
  • Stencil Creme in pink
  • Miscellaneous items: tracing paper, pencil, transfer paper, drill with 3/32 inch bit, scrap wood block, fine sandpaper, water basin, disposable palette, paper towels, scissors, white craft glue

Instructions:

  1. Basecoat the hat heart red. Let dry between coats, colors and steps.
  2. Transfer the face outline to the head heart. Paint the face and plug nose dresden flesh. Blush the cheeks and nose by stencil-brushing pink in a circular motion. Paint the remainder of the heart and the furniture button white. Drybrush the edges of each with silver.
  3. Transfer the remaining details to the head. Dip the end of a brush handle in white to dot the cheek highlights. Glue the eyes on. Use a silver marking pen to draw the penstitching outlines. Glue (1) green leaf sequin to hat, glue (3) red sequins on top of leaf, let dry.
  4. Working on one piece at a time, brush Elf Dust onto Hat Pom-Pom and Brim.
  5. Gllue the hat to the back of the head and the nose to the face.
  6. To make the hanger, wrap the wire around a pencil to curl and slip jingle bell onto wire. Thread the wire ends through the hat holes from the back to the front, then wrap the end around the wire to secure. Shape the hanger as desired.
  7. To finish, glue the pom pom to the hat tip.

Christmas Spoon Critters


Christmas Spoon Critters Gingerbread Man
Supplies:
  • Tan felt
  • Pink, black and white shiny dimentional paint
  • Christmas Ribbon

Instructions:

  1. Cut tan felt to fit over face area. Trim to fit.
  2. Glue felt to spoon. Let dry.
  3. Use pink dimentional paint for cheeks, black for eyes and smile, and white for frosting around spoon.
  4. Tie ribbon around neck.


Santa
Supplies:
  • Delta paint: fleshtone, gold and black.
  • Red and white felt
  • White pom poms
  • Elf Dust
  • Christmas ribbon

Instructions:

  1. Paint spoon face fleshtone. Paint black eyes and gold glasses.
  2. Glue white pom poms to beard area. Brush with elf dust.
  3. Cut red felt for hat and white felt for hat trim.
  4. Tie ribbon around neck.
  5. Glue pom pom on tip of hat.

Pinecone Snowman


Pinecone Snowman Supplies:
  • 1 med. pinecone
  • 1½” white pom-pom
  • Two ½” metallic fancy pom-poms
  • 2 brown chenille stems
  • 1 metallic gold chenille stem
  • 1 Orange Shiny Scribbles paint
  • Freshly Fallen Snow
  • 12”x1” piece of fabric for the scarf
  • Tacky or hot glue & hot glue gun

Instructions:

  1. Glue the white pom pom to the top of the pine cone.
  2. Cut a 3” piece and a 1½” piece from a brown chenille stem. Twist the shorter piece around the longer piece to form a twig (arm). Glue this where the arm should be. Repeat this step for the other arm.
  3. Glue gold metallic pom-poms on either side or the head (where ears should be).
  4. Twist a gold chenille stem around a pencil (it should curl to about 3” in length). Glue this to other side of the snowman’s head just above gold pom-poms.
  5. Add some Freshly Fallen Snow to the Snowman.
  6. Paint in the face with Scribbles paint. Allow to dry.
  7. Tie the scarf around the snowman’s neck.

Smores Guy


Smores Guy Supplies:
  • 1 pkg. cork 3¾”x1/8” (cork disks)
  • Freshly Fallen Snow
  • 6mm brown fun foam
  • 3mm brown fun foam
  • 12” x 2” styrofoam pole
  • 20 gauge craft wire - cut two 6” pieces
  • Brown floral tape
  • Scribbles fabric paint - Shiny Hot Chocolate & Shiny Bright Orange
  • Large flat brush
  • Glue gun
  • Scissors

Instructions:

  1. Cut styrofoam cone into 3¾” sections
  2. Using a hard flat tool, make a straight linear indentation in the middle of the 3¾” section of styrofoam. The styrofoam should look like 2 marshmallows.
  3. Round out the edges of the styrofoam.
  4. Cut the cork disks into a rectangle with rounded edges. The rectangle should be about 3¼”x2¾.”
  5. Cut a 2”x3” piece from 6mm fun foam.
  6. Now cut 4 - 1½”x¾” rectangles from 4mm fun foam.
  7. Glue these 1½”x¾” rectangles onto the large piece of 6mm fun foam. Once glued together it should look like a chocolate Bar.
  8. Glue the chocolate bar to the cork. Once dry, hot glue the styrofoam to the chocolate bar.
  9. Using a large flat brush, brush on Freshly Fallen Snow.
  10. Use Scribbles paint to decorate the face.
  11. Wrap the two 6” pieces of craft wire with brown floral tape. Bend the wire and twist the ends together. Cut off the loop and poke into either side of the marshmallow where the arms should be.

Santa Brush Character


Santa Brush Character Supplies:
  • 2” or 1½” bristle brush for Santa
  • 1” or ½” bristle brush for elf
  • ¼” wood buttons
  • 1” white pom pom
  • 7mm wiggle eyes
  • 1½” gold craft wire cut to 1½”
  • Flat brush and liner brush
  • White fun foam sheet
  • Flesh fun foam sheet
  • Elf dust
  • 7/8” gold jingle bell
  • Brush on varnish
  • Acrylic paint - Tompte Red, White, Medium Flesh, Jubilee Green and Perwinkle Blue

Instructions:

  1. Paint bristle portion white. Let dry.
  2. Paint the mid-portion med. flesh (refer to fig. 1).
  3. Paint the handle red or green.
  4. Embellish white mustache & hat fir with periwinkle. Let Dry.
  5. Brush on elf dust. Brush on varnish. Add a ribbon for a finishing touch.

Maybe use an old wedding favor bell for this one.
Bell Penguin


Bell Penguin Supplies:
  • Plastic Christmas bell
  • Red satin ribbon
  • Delta Metal Primer
  • Design Master paint. - black
  • Acrylic paint - white, orange, and black
  • Matte spray sealer
  • Pastel chalk for cheeks
  • Rat tail chord - satin black and white
Instructions:
Coat bell with metal primer inside and outside. When dry, spray with black paint where primed. Paint white front of penguin using about 4 coats to cover thoroughly. Make black dots for eyes. Blush chalk on cheeks. Paint beak orange. Seal with about 4 coats of spray sealer to prevent scratches. Make small bow out of red ribbon and glue on at neck area. Make hole in top of bell, a little bigger if necessary and insert rat tail loop for hanger.

When storing, wrap in tissue to keep from scratching

MATERIALS:1Wrights® Ribbon Candy Ornaments Kit (#218-0759-065)--Pencil--Ruler--Scissors--GlueINSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Cut a 26" piece of ribbon. Place glue on raw ends to prevent fraying. Place a small dot in the center of the ribbon, 1" from one end. Continue to place a small dot every 2" from that first dot until you reach the end of the ribbon. Thread the needle with one bead, making sure it is secure at the end. Ribbon Candy Ornament illustrationPoke needle through first dot on ribbon. Thread another bead onto needle. Fold ribbon and poke needle through next dot on ribbon (see illustration at right). Continue until you reach the end of the ribbon, ending with a bead. Tie ornament hook to end of thread and cut excess.
