Is anyone taking the liquid cranberry supplement? I take it, and it tastes good, and you have to take less. It used to be called Proantinox, but I believe they just changed the name to Cystex with proantinox. I was taking it even before I was TTC a girl, because I had frequent bladder infections. Since I began taking the liquid, I have not had a problem since. Just a suggestion, I know that all of the supplement pills we have to swallow can get a bit overwhelming, and it freed up a LOT of space in my daily pill holder. I love the stuff!

Pharmacist told me today that if I can find ANY of the supplements in liquid form, it's wise to take them in that manner, because the body absorbs liquids better and more thoroughly than the pills. I love the cranberry liquid, I'll keep using it. :)

I am taking cranberry pills now...kinda feel funny when I bought them because I don't have a urinary tract infection...so technically I don't need them...but anyway. It says to take 1 to 2 pills , 3 times a day or after each meal, and I thought OH great....I could never remember taking BC so how am I going to do this? So I will look into liquid form, and if it tastes good that is a plus for me. Thanks!
If and when I take supplements, I will definitely look into this stuff. I know liquid forms are always best. Same with vitamins. Like you said, they're more absorbable.

I only drink 2 tbsp of it when I wake up, and before I go to bed. Of course, I plan on beginning my TTC in May, since my biorhythms and the new moon together say May is the perfect month for girl. Anyways, I'll increase my intake of it slightly while TTC. It's so great not to have to take handfuls and handfuls of pills..I buy mine from RiteAid..haven't found it anywhere else. You can buy it online from RiteAid, there is also another one, which you can buy in bulk, it's the same thing, just a different name..it's called UTI-Stat with Proantinox...you can get it in bulk from
www.cwimedical.com
The biorythm chart is very useful, it's kind of hard to figure out, but both red and blue lines in the bottom half around a new moon are the OPTIMAL times to TTC a girl, no matter the timing...supposedly. But if you ovulate when both the red and blue lines are in the negative (lower half) at the same time as ovulation, your chances of having a girl are incredibly increased. I learned about the "biorythm method" through a friend, then found a post about it on ingender.com .
Here is the site I use for mine..ignore the green line. The dark moon is the new moon, the light one is full. According to my chart, MAY is absolutely perfect. And after that, I should wait until August to attempt again...

I actually may make a new post with this info alone. The three friends I have who used biorhythms to concieve girls (I've been asking EVERYONE I know for tips) all conceived girls, even on their O day. Could be chance, or not, you never know. Just something to think about.
And the new moon always influences girl conception, in almost every myth, tip, and wive's tale I've seen. It's so in biorhythms, too. Yes..I'm going to make this it's own post.
Sorry to go so far off subject! :) But..the cranberry liquid is definitely the way I'm going. :D

I bought a pink weekly pill holder. On Sundays, I put all of my supplements for the day, except the liquid cranberry, into the daily boxes. I keep it in the kitchen, so that I'll see them while eating dinner, or snacking, and take them. :)

How is it on the stomach? Ever since I got sick with my gallbladder going out and having it removed a yr ago, my stomach has been sensitive. Does it give you a stomach ache or any nausea at all?

It is much easier on the stomach than taking a ton of pills. You could cut down SO MUCH on pill intake by using the liquid. The pills somewhat bother my belly because the stomach has to work really hard to digest them all, and absorption is minimal with pills. I'd say the absolute BEST way to go is with the liquid. I'm going to buy the bulk one, and use it. It tastes good, absorbs quickly, and doesn't bother the belly. :) I'm so lucky I found that, I've been using it since befoe we started TTC, because I had frequent bladder infections. Since I began taking it about 4 months ago, I haven't had a single bad symptom.

Quoting ray1:I took regular cranberry supplements, and I am having a girl! Not sure if this is the reason, but make sure you take cranberry!!
This was the only "girl method" I tried...
Congratulations on your pregnancy! And it's wonderful news that you are going to be using pink blankies :)
