Any advice on my 26-28 day cycles?

I wanted to see if anyone out there has any advice for me.

In December my cycle was 26, January 28 and February 28.  Now I'm getting nervous about BD on the wrong day this week.  Not sure when to try because if I BD Friday, I will Ovulate Monday if cycle is 26 and Wednesday if it's 28.....This is where I get nervous, either I'm cutting it close or BD too far away.  How do I solve this???

Thanks

I think I read in Shettles' if you have irregular cycles, try BD'ing 3 days before your shortest cycle date, so 3 days before Monday...then if you do not conceive, try  BD 1 day later from that the next month, and so on and so forth.  It is a lot trickier with irregular cycles so this would be the best way to go about it.  Other than that, can you feel when your about to ovulate?  Try to use your CM as a measurement against those days as well.  Good luck ;)

I've used CM and OPK, for the past 4 months and the cycles were, 25, 26, 28, 28.  Now I'm afraid if I stick with the 28 day cycle, I will BD close to O if my cycle is 26 this time.

I'm following my cycle graph from last month and I'm kind of seeing a temperature similarities to my 26 day cycle, so I'm debating right now.

I can feel when I ovulate, but that would be too late when TTC a girl...right?

Right!  If you can feel O pain, and notice EWCM, avoid BD!  The OPKs I am unsure of, because I have heard some women say they have gotten conflicting results, so I mainly use my body signals and temp charting.  So if you are seeing similarities to that cycle I would try to start out as far away from O as possible(no closer than 3 days) for a 26 day cycle to be safe.

If you can afford it, the Ovacue (newest model) is the way to go. I'm ordering mine tomorrow. It's perfect for women with irregular cycles, and I can barely monitor my BBT because of my insane sleep schedule. I want to be sure, and the Ovacue will be my best bet on being as sure as I can get, without being all-knowing LOL.

Other than that, I'd say pay very close attention to your CM and cervical position.

how often do you use OPKs and how similar are the results from month to month.  I know everyones very different but maybe it might help.  I havent be testing with OPK too often because since I have been tracking- 1yr+  i have always always ovulated on day 17 of my cycle even if its long or short.  anyway what ive noticed is that when I would test starting with negative results-NO LINE- and as soon as a line would show(very very faint of course) I would ovulate in 5 days the line gradually darkening day by day.  GL

Mascara...I've looked into the Ovacue.  I googled "reviews on Ovacue newest model" on a lot of woman say that it hasn't helped them and it reads the wrong O days. Besides it takes 6-8 weeks to get and I'm hoping not to wait that long :-)

Busymom, I track OPK after Period three times a day (morning, afternoon and evening).  We BD yesterday (assuming I'm on the 26 day cycle). This morning my opk's 2nd line was faint, but the one I took around 2 and 4 were a little darker, I just took one right now and the line is back to faint.  Not sure if pee is too diluted at this point.

Now my worry is, should I BD again tonight or am I cutting it too close.

Interesting...I've only heard good things about it, but I could probably research a little more, couldn't hurt. :) They said it would be delivered just like any other UPS package, I've not heard of it taking so long to deliver, that would be pretty lame to wait that long!

I'm fairly different from most in the group in the fact that I don't believe timing is the important factor. PH and hormones are the biggest players. I'll be taking baby aspirin to lower estrogen, saw palmetto to lower testosterone, and drinking lots and lots of peppermint tea, which also lowers testosterone. High levels of both estrogen and testosterone, especially together, increase your chances of conceiving a boy considerably. Also, we all know that PH plays a very large part. I'm sure you'll be just fine :) Here's to PINK!

well, I think I cut it too close, we bd on Tuesday and Wednesday I saw faint lines which got a little darker (not that much) by the end of the night.  Today the lines are a little darker but not quite that dark.. It seems like it's my 25 day cycle this month.

I guess I just have to wait and see now confused
