Your sway sounds great. Do you have a pH meter?

No I don't. Will that help?

It's vital IMO. The whole point of the diet and supplements is to make your body more acidic. Without a pH meter, you have no way of knowing what your vagina's pH is. The key is for your pH to be between 4-4.5 and the only way to know is by testing it regularly while swaying.

Another reason is because for some women, calcium and magnesium can actually raise their pH so you should note what pH is before you start those supplements and if they raise it, then you need to cut those out.

If you want to do a lazy diet, that's fine, but be sure to stay away from the big no no foods at least, which are bananas, tomatoes and potatoes.

Ok thank you, that's very helpful. I'm using opks to determine o time...did you use that also? I used them with my last son and from what I can remember, we bd'd either on or directly before o day (or both).

Ok question about the ph monitor....can I buy it online? The ones I see on amazon don't look like they're for personal use. And (awkward question), how do I test?

I used OPK's, took my temp and entered it on my Fertility Friend app and used the Ovacue Fertility Monitor. I also monitored my cm and cervical position. You can certainly just use OPK's but I do suggest you temp as well.

With the pH meter, you have to insert it into your vagina like a tampon and touch the end of it to your cervix to get an accurate pH reading of your vaginal cm. Some women insert a Diva Cup and let it collect cm and then dip the meter into the cm instead. I always just inserted it vaginally. You won't find one that appears to be specifically for personal use. This is the one I have. You also need the storage solution and callibration solutions. I will include a link to these items. I know it will cost a small chunk of money, but if you really want to TTC a girl, this is crucial!

You will need all of these items, so you're looking at about $70 for all of it, but if you want to cut down cost, you could get just the small sample packets of solution instead of the full bottles of it. I personally went with the bottles of it just to make sure I didn't run out. This is the only way to know how acidic your body is so IMO, it is absolutely necessary for a sway.

Ok thanks so much for this info! That's kind of a lot for us to spend, so hopefully I can just do everything else and pray a lot!! I'd love a girl, but I know how much boys can be a blessing too and wouldn't be sad.

Yes you absolutely can. It's just not as accurate and precise. The meter gives an exact reading and the strips only change color and you have to go by a color chart and guess. When I conceived, the pH meter read at 4.14 right during ovulation which is perfect for swaying pink. If you're wanting to be money conscious though, the strips are the way to go. It's better than not checking pH at all.
