Sara is Prago she is due around Feb 21st i would i know its time last two times she went and hid but this time i want to keep an eye on her. Dose her thing swell up?
I've never had a female to have pups..my dad used to raise Beagles when I was growing up...He always counted the days...and when she was due he would confine her to a whelping box, or the area designated for her and her pups..That way there was no hiding...Prehaps someone else can answer this better than me.

I start taking the bitches temp about her 55th day of pregnancy.I know she will be ready when her temp drops to 98 or below.At that time keep her in the area that you want her to raise her pups.I have a puppy pen that I use.(bought it online from Pet Edge)I also have a heating padvunder a foam pad covered with a flannel pillowcase.Keep the heating pad set on low.If you have any other questions feel free to PM me.At this time I have a litter of mini Long Hairs - 1 male and 1 female.We lost the 1st male,stillborn.My pups will be 3 weeks this Thursday.
