Why Choose A Beginner Kettlebell Workout?

When starting a workout program consider a beginner kettlebell workout with the world's #1 handheld gym to reach your fitness goals in half the time as a traditional workout.

In case you are new to kettlebell exercises and do not know what a kettlebell is....(don't feel bad kettlebell exercises are one of the world's best kept secrets)...it is a fitness tool that looks similar to a bowling ball with a handle.

The reason the kettlebell is so effective has to do with its unique shape and the fact that the weight is positioned four inches below its handle.

The kettlebells unique shape will force your body to use your core muscles with each kettlebell exercise in an attempt to stabilize and balance the kettlebell. This makes for a more intense fat burning workout.

The lady in the picture above is demonstrating a kettlebell swing using a kettlebell.

The kettlebell has been a secret training tool of top Russian athletes for hundreds of years but was recently introduced to the rest of the world by Pavel Tsatsouline world renowned kettlebell trainer and coach.

Now the kettlebell is being used in the U.S. and Russian millitary, by top martial artists and in the National Football league.

Thanks to Pavel Tsatsouline the kettlebell has now gone mainstream and even beginner athletes are reaping the benefits of the seemingly magical kettlebell.

If you are just starting out with kettlebells it is important to begin by using proper form to avoid injury and to maximize your results.

Don't let Pavel's Tough Love Scare You.

He is very direct but once you see his kettlebell workout DVD's and books you will soon realize that he has a heart of gold and he uses his direct manner to motivate you to be in the best physical fitness that you can be.

Hey and don't be concerned about being too old or weak for a beginner kettlebell workout.

Kettlebells come in weights that will accomodate your current fitness level.

Having posted this I must say I have not done Pavel's workout. I do own Kettlebell Goddess

though with Andrea Du Cane and absolutely love it. I've also enjoyed Kettlenetics with Michelle Khai (although with a heavier Kb). Anyone else? smile mini

Since at least one other person expressed possible interest I'll go ahead and post this.

This is one of the best series of videos I found on youtube that show the basic moves. Kettlebells come in very small to very large weights so are easy to fit to an individuals fitness levels. Check out some of the other youtube vids but don't get scared. You don't have to be looking to lift massive weight. Although some of those guys...surprise mini

If just starting out then the swing, clean and press, and windmill are what I feel were the moves that helped me really get a feel for the weight and keep my form good.  Figure 8's are good too. Those are demonstrated at almost the bottom of the page.

I saw them in Wal -Mart  and tried them out in the store .  I really liked them.  I would love to have them.   But I don't have the money for one yet.

Like any other weights they can be a little pricey. Keep an eye on ebay though, you can sometimes catch a really nice deal. And keep it in mind when you do come into some cash to spend. I haven't bought more than two a year since I started them two years ago. It's money well spent and you're worth it. wink mini
