aAcouple of the other nurses, the unit secretary, and I have started to get up from our computers at 2am (when the slump starts) and go down to the first floor and walk up the stairs to the fifth floor and back again 2 times every night we work.
We work 3 nights a week 12 hours a night. It just gives you a bit of a wake up and an energy boost at the time of the shift when you are slumping. I have to admit the first week or so we did it I hurt and was tired, but it was so much better after!
