I have been saying I'm going to lose this weight for MONTHS now and I've gained 4!!! I do not know how to diet or exercise. I have never had to diet or even exercise before I had my daughter. I was always blessed to be  shape and able to eat what I wanted. So now when I've reached a horrible 205 pounds I am so disgusted with myself I wont even look in the mirror. When my DF puts his arms around me I jump and push him away. This weight is causing our relationship problems and its killing me. I know he loves me despite that I've put on a lot of weight since we met in 2005 before our daughter but I can't get over it. I want to look good and be healthy for myself. I want to look good for him to and I want to be able to chase my little girl around and go play with her more without running out of breath..... So I'm asking Begging can someone please help me? Someone give me tips ideas or just flat out tell me what to do step by step so that I know until I have the hang of it? I mean money is soooo tight I can't join a gym I do however have local parks to go walking ( if it ever stops raining) I have a elliptical, weights, exercise ball, things like that. I cant buy super healthy foods I can only afford the cheaper things which means the unhealthy things (like hamburger helper, canned foods, etc). So any ideas??????

I am in a very similar situation. I have a couple of suggestions for you. One is by some cheap diet pills from your grocery store. Look and see what brands they sell there and then research them online to see what works the best and which ones you think would work best for you. Then don't eat anymore hamburger helper...lol I am on a very tight budget as well and dieting on a budget is very hard.. The best way to start is by buying some can soups. Preferably something like the progresso lights..Then instead of white bread get cheap wheat bread approx 50 cals a slice and some cheap turkey meat and mustard. Tuna fish is good too. Quit drinking soda and switch to diet. Drink lots of water..Try to keep your calorie intake right at 1200-1300 cals a day. I drink alot of coffee when doing this.. I get my family whole milk and buy myself a 1/2 gal of skim. There is alot of small inexpensive changes you can make that will make dieting easier. I hated diet drinks, but when you start counting calories and realize its a diet drink or a sandwich you can have, it makes the switch easier. I have alos started buying more fruits and veggies and snacking on those. I didn't crave this stuff at 1st, but the more you do it the more it becomes a lifestyle and you definetly need to stay away from sugar. When I started doing this and looked at the pack of honey buns I couldn't beleive they had so many calories in just one honey bun. That was worth an entire can of soup which is now practically a whole meal for me. Oh yeah, make lunch your biggest meal. For me thats easy, because evenings at my house are crazy, I am running around doing dinner and baths for the kids and getting homework done, so by the time I sit down in the evenings I am too worn out to eat alot. When you 1st start keep skinny pics of yourself handy, maybe even on the refrigerator. This will help you with the cravings and when craving something, go for a whole carrot or apple, bannana.... anything but the junk food.. Oh yeah portion size is huge too. For example, my family had frostys from Wendys the other day. I really wanted one, but when you are dieting you have to learn to be patient and know that there is always a healthy alternative to what everyone else is having. So when we got home I took my sugar free ice cream (which is really good by the way) and some skim milk and made a small milkshake. I was patient and got a better alternative and then didn't feel guilty for giving in and still got what I wanted... Pizzas are another diet secret. I get english muffins (wheat) and some reduced fat mozz cheese and turkey pepperoni and veggies and tomato sauce and I can cure a pizza craving that way. I have my daughter eating those too and she likes helping make them and they t ake 10 minutes to prepare and cook. I hope that helps... You can always google search cheap low cal dinners or recipes... Good luck!

wow! its really tough to eat healthy on a tight budget. My philosophy however is Your health is more important than anything else, its your biggest investment. I dont recommend any ready-made, canned, ready to eat foods- it would be very hard to lose any weight with those, they are loaded with chemicals, preservatives etc. Try to make your own food from scratch. Eat more veggies and fruits; as less processed foods as possible. Another thing - always read labels on the food you buy. Try to google all the ingredients , like aspartame , high fructose corn syrup, MSG etc. You'll find lots of surprising revelations about foods you eat. ( check out www.naturalnews.com, subscribe for their news letter, its great!) . The last - start walking, start little than progress to alot, then to jogging. Work out with free weights. It will help.

Thats called eating clean. There's a group on cafemom and a book about it. You dont eat any preservatives or additives. You do loose tons of weight but its nothing I wud suggest for a first time dieter.
