Hi! I am Mary (Live in Michigan) and my youngest daughter Heather (aka Heat) is the ball player in our family. She pitches, plays shortstop, and second base. Her little league coach wants her to be catcher this year- I am not so sure about that one! She has played ball for 6 years on Little League, 4 years on fast-pitch and 3 years All Stars.Basically we are at the ball field all summer long and we wouldn't have it any other way!

I'm the new one here.  My daughter, Caroline, is 11 and has been playing since age 5.  She plays outfield and 2nd base.  She plays on a select team this year.  Her Rec All-Star team won the State Championship down here in Georgia last summer.  Great feeling - makes all the sitting in the stands night after night worth it to see their faces light up like that, doesn't it?

Hello, might of reply to this post but i don't see it. My name is Christina and I live in Southern California. My daughter has played  softball all her life. She played Little league and (still does when high school softball is over) since t-ball age. She is now a Freshman in High school and she is the starting pitcher for the Varsity softball team and also plays 1st. base when not pitching. She is  on the softball field EVERYDAY either playing a game, practicing or helping some else out. Her goal is to get a softball scholarship to UCLA and play on their team.  So we are always doing something softball and we love it!

Hi, my name is Michele and my daughter has been playing baseball at age 6 and then moved to softball around 7. She played rec ball for a while but then started on an ASA B team. They made it to the Nationals and came in 7th that year. She has since gone to Nationals 3 more times and plays ASA A ball for the California Breeze and high school ball. She plays catcher, 3rd base and all outfield spots. She is now a junior in high school. She started playing catcher when she was younger and I was a little nervous at first but she found she loved it and she is unstoppable! Catcher's are a different sort of breed though....must be aggressive and tough and sometimes bossy--my daughter to a "T".

Hello! I am Melissa and my 14 year old, Krista (aka Krash) plays softball. This is her 3rd year. She plays shortstop and 3rd base. She basically grew up on the ball field, her dad played softball and my husband (her stepdad) played softball (actually on the same team as her dad, but that's a whole other story LOL).
My 10 year old has shown an interest so I will have to get her signed up next season.
Glad to meet ya!Wink

HI all, My name is Gaye and my Daughter Celina (Lina) has played travel ball 12U for 5 years but this year she has moved up to 14U. She plays catcher,
1st, third an outfield but mostly catcher and 1st. We play ball from around Feb. thru Nov. depending on the weather. We have been kind of slow starting this year with all the rain making the fields unplayable. We are all so ready to play. LOL
We had to take her off the YMCA and Rec teams. It was messing up her hitting because they are so slow. We really don't have a good Y or Rec ball team.
Her goal is to be a Marine Biologist and play for the TEAM USA.
She starts going to High School (9th grade) this next school year. They have a pretty good varsity team and the coach is looking forward to her comming over there.

I love taking pics and plan to put a few of them on here for all to see.
Good luck to all your daughters this year!

My name is Heather and I just love being a SOFTBALL MOM.
I have 3 daughters,12-14-16, who all play softball. My oldest has played since she was 3 1/2 and is a pitcher and catcher, and has recently went back to her first love of first base!!!! She is a powerful hitter, not the fastest runner, but most stout girls arent. My middle one is an outfielder, she is struggling with slowpitch, but this is her first year at that. She has always played Fastpitch. She can be a powerful hitter and fast runner, if we can just get her to put her mind back into it. They both will be playing Summer league with their school team and traveling after Slowpitch is over. My youngest is back to playing after 2 years off. She is struggling with ADHD and I am hoping this will help her with some of the energy again. It did before!!!! She loves to play 3rd and 1st, but is on a rec league, so everyone plays everywhere?????
Well  Hopefully it is off to a good season all around!!!!!!

Hi everyone.  My name is Tracy and my daughter is 11 and in her second year of fastpitch softball.  She loves it so far but isn't as advanced as the other girls on the team.  I set her up with private lessons and she's loving that.  The private coach is AWESOME and has taught her alot of great techniques for hitting the ball.  She also wants to pitch but we're going to work on that over the summer/fall for next years tryouts.

Hi, I'm new to the group as well. My name is Star. I live in Georgia. My 9 yr old Maegan plays for a traveling coach-pitch team. She has been playing  almost 3 yrs. 2 spring, 2 fall, and this is our 1st on a traveling team. She plays short-stop, and is a little dare-devil when it comes to running the bases. But she is fast so that's always fun. I've also got a 15 month old that wears me down when we're at the ballpark ALL DAY LONG, So, if anyone has any advice on toys, games, etc. to keep the little one happy, please let me in on any advice or tips :-)
