Hey ladies, just checking in with everyone... I apologize, but have been super duper busy with the girls. Did anyone's dd make all-stars this year?  My 7 yr old did, she'll be pitching and playing 2nd base for the "A" team!

We're very excited for her, she's following in her older sisters foot steps.

Keep us informed on your All-Star!

My daughter was nominated for All Stars and we find out on closing day if she makes it or not. we have tryouts for the allstars this Sun. A outrageous technicality but my daughter is all up for it. She is a great catcher one of the best in her division her throw to 2nd is right in there! . She also has started pitching, awesome 3rd base always beats the runner with her throw to first.

I have been really busy too.  CONGRATULATIONS to all that made All-Stars!!!!

My 13 yr old doesn't play rec ball anymore.  We put her on a travel team last year and it is like playing on an All-Star team everyday.  We just love it!

She plays for the San Diego Power Surge team 12U.  They had their state competition 2 weeks ago and they came in first for Southern California so we will be going to the ASA Nationals in Normal, IL in July.  This will be our first time at Nationals and we are really looking forward to it.

Good to luck to all of the ALL-STARS.

Anyone in Southern California?

My daughter plays in the same league as dragonfliesgirl, just a different division.

My daughter is going to all-stars, she is very excited. This will be her second time going. I am the manager of the junior all-star team, so I am thrilled to be going with the girls!

CONGRATS to the girls on making All Stars. I remember those announcements being so nervous for them.

Congrats to ur DD's team,Jackie on winning the bid especially with the tough competition you have out there. I wish you much luck in Normal. Win it all !!! I wish we took our bid but we declined it due to travel cost. We chose Oklahoma City -Hall of Fame tourney to travel to instead this year. We learned alot of what we need to work on to be ready for nationals. Best way to put it is travel outside of state was not our strong point. We are planning more out of state tourneys next year to be better prepared.

BTW- If any of your DD's team ever have a chance to go to OKC(ASA HQ), TAKE IT. The girls had so much fun playing in stadium, where the college world series just was, WOW!!  and seeing their names on jumbotron. The Softball Hall of Fame was very interesting. Lots of stuff to do in area. Be sure to go to Memorial downtown.. Very humbling.
